1. What are the best exercises for cardio ? ( what do u think about kettlebell related workouts & jump ropes aka Skipping ? ) 2. Tell me the best way to lose belly fat (😢) please and how to be (& stay) fit all the time.
@jameschesterton2 жыл бұрын
1. Both are great exercises 2. Losing belly fat is all about diet. You cannot lose fat from just the belly, you have to lose it generally everywhere. Keto and intermittent fasting are excellent for fat loss.

Hey hey hey Al, I understand to get good at deadlifts, you gotta’ do deadlifts, but are there any calisthenics exercises which build strength in the posterior chain and hip hinge in a comparable way? I’m not sure bridges and levers are enough to develop “picking up heavy things” strength.

If bridges and muscle-ups are not in your range yet, then try squats.
@viveviveka26512 жыл бұрын
@@jameschesterton After posting the question, I came up with one. The "medicine ball burpee." Or "the hefty-rock burpee." Or "the burpee curl-and-press." What I had on hand at that moment was a hefty rock. After the pushup part of the burpee, you pick up the weight and do a curl-and-overhead-press while standing up and jumping. A weighted-jump-squat burpee. With a medicine ball you could add a floor slam or wall slam. You could also use pushup variations for the pushup part of the burpee, instead of standard pushups. Maybe spiderman pushups or alternating one-legged pushups ("scorpionman pushups") or knee-to-opposite-elbow pushups. All of those work some extra muscles, especially the last one.

What's wrong with protein powder? Yes, its industrial and has chemicals inside. But this doesn't make it useless. It's more a preferance-thing. But yes:... a steak is a steak is a steak. :)
@jameschesterton2 жыл бұрын
The fact is this. If you are spending money on supplements, you may as well put that money to buying better sources of whole food. There are many added benefits to eating whole natural food as opposed to a man-made product, and far less side effects. Give your body what it was meant to have.
@Vegvísir72 жыл бұрын
@@jameschesterton seems legit. But if i choose greek yoghurt or skyr instead, they are also industrial. And i cannot change my morning prot-shake into a lamb steak. Ok, I could... and I would,... but i don't have the time, nor the money to do so. :D
@jameschesterton2 жыл бұрын
@@Vegvísir7 A good full fat greek yoghurt is a minimally processed food (basically just milk with bacteria added), so how about this for a morning shake... 2 tablespoons greek yoghurt 3 eggs Handful of favourite nuts tablespoon peanut butter 1 avocado (for good fats and added consistency) Some berries or banana if you want to sweeten it up a bit. You have about 30g whole food protein right there, plus all of those foods are extremely nutritious in lots of other ways.
@Vegvísir72 жыл бұрын
@@jameschesterton Thanks for your advice.💪🏼 I take my "meals" 4 times a day. The problem is, at 06:00 in the morning I am not hungry at all, so i do a protein shake (20g prot). About 10:00 i eat my oatmeal, including 100g oatflakes, 50g soyflakes, 1 sp. chia, 25g nuts, 1 apple or banana, a little bit cinnamon, filled with 330ml almond milk. At 15:30 I eat lunch, which also is my pre workout meal, containing various kinds of meat, fish, egg, lenses, with potatoes/rice/quinoa etc. and fresh salad. Between 20:00 and 22:00, I eat either 200g low fat greek yoghurt or cottage cheese or a can tuna. I think, my nutrition is well balanced, so I can "allow" myself my morning-starter-prot-shake. But maybe, i will change it into a greek yoghurt. My favourite one has also 20g prots on 200g and only 100kcal. That's even better than whey powder in terms of protein per kcal.

Dudes, been doing this crap for 25 years, I’m arguably leaner and more muscler at 43 then I ever have been, I’ve eaten less and less factory stuff and more and more whole foods, basically, meat, fats, fruit and honey, only exception: rice cakes. Ps. Added organ meats recently, good stuff!
