For hedge against your stock, you can buy same stocks put options, same no of lots as your holding stock, this gives protection however, you need to pay premium gor put long as Mr. Basant informed in this video. Instead, in other way, you can go same stocks options and same lots of CALL sell, short calls, this gives you benifit when stocks go down and if stocks price increase you sell the stocks when call buyer exercise on expiry date otherwise you got call premium price. It is called covered call option , in this you no need large amount for sell/short the call. You think if worried for stock price fall even though check with your investment advisor before taking finaly decision. Good luck.

Good evening Basant Sir, I know you won't take it because it would be too long. But i just want to write it here. My stock market journey started on 15.03.2018. I learnt a bit of technical analysis and started to invest/trade based on that, watched a lot of videos to understand the markets. For the first two years i didn't earn anything from the markets, although my maximum allocation was in mutual funds. Then came covid, in panic i liquidated my mutual funds portfolio of 4 lacs which came down to 2.25 lacs. After that, i slowly started accumulating money from my savings and then ( i saved a lot on my expenses) and from September 2020 i started buying shares with small amounts over a period of 6 months and built a portfolio of around 6 lacs. I slowly started increasing my allocation and whatever i got as dividends i reinvested it back in the markets. Whatever bulk amount i got i invested it in the markets. I had a portfolio of around 140 stocks , the return average return from the portfolio was around 35%. No i have reached a portfolio size of around 27lacs with 40 stocks and want to reduce it further. I am invested in Banks & NBFC's, IT , Consumer and Capital Goods. I work in a public sector bank and invest an amount of 40,000 monthly. Thank you so much sir for teaching us fundamental investing for free ( i mean in the simplest of languages). I connect to you even more because i am a cricketer as well, i have played upto district level in my teens and i continue playing corporate cricket. Would love if you can rate Sachin's 100 at Perth in 1992 and his 98 against Pakistan in 2003. Want to meet you one day sir and get your blessings and a part of your mind and analogy.

I love all your videos and feel like I'm talking to a senior friend of mine, which I enjoy a lot❤ I had a query about Butterfly Gandhimati( PE-40, MARKET CAP-2115 cr)which was recently acquired by Crompton Greaves. I think Butterfly will hugely benefit by the Synergy as it will gain pan India dealership network of Crompton. Butterfly offers quality products at good rates in south India and is the leader in its sector. Should I add Butterfly, please share your thoughts.🙏🙏🙏

What is your view on buying and forgetting quality stocks vs reviewing the portfolio regularly? The risk with latter is that it will motivate you to books profits and prohibit from actual wealth creation. A mutual fund study stated that people who generated max returns were those who invested and died. What do you think?
