Do you think Cesar had something to do with what was in the Bible?

I have a question for you. Are you aware that the Catholic Church promotes blatant idolatry? As the Catholic Encyclopedia says: "A certain worship may be offered to inanimate objects, such as the relics of a martyr, the Cross of Christ, the Crown of Thorns, or even the statue or picture of a saint." Do you worship statues and relics?

I know I do. I'm expecting my statue of Mary to bust out into a song and dance any minute now. (That's what I asked her for.) The Catholic Encyclopedia is not an official document, btw. But even so, I doubt the article you haven't been honest enough to identify says what you're claiming. (By which I mean, I doubt the sense of "worship" being used there--if it is--is the sense you are understanding.)

@@jimnewl "The Catholic Encyclopedia is not an official document." What is the purpose of the CE? In its original preface, it says: "The Catholic Encyclopedia, as its name implies, proposes to give its readers full and authoritative information on the entire cycle of Catholic interests, action and doctrine." Did you get that? The purpose of the CE is to educate the reader about, among other things, Catholic doctrines or teachings teachings. And one of those Catholic teachings concerns the worship of Mary. As it says: "As the Blessed Virgin has a separate and absolutely super-eminent rank among the saints, the *WORSHIP* paid to her is called hyperdulia." "I doubt the article you haven't been honest enough to identify says what you're claiming. (By which I mean, I doubt the sense of "worship" being used there--if it is--is the sense you are understanding.)" I haven't been honest about what? You said: "I doubt the sense of "worship" being used there--if it is--is the sense you are understanding.)." Are you here trying to put a spin on the word "worship" so that "worship" doesn't really mean "worship"? Well, before saying anything else, tell me, does the CE say or does it not say that "worship is paid [to Mary]"? Yes or no?

@@cbooth151Etymology-the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history. Worship is one of those words prayer is another. Words do change meaning over time. Catholicism is many centuries older than the English language so you'll see that especially in older documents. We know the differences because we grew up knowing the differences. Take for exple the word 'love'. We would agree that we love our spouse differently than we love God or love our children differently than we love our pets. Latria, dulia, and hyperdulia. Look it up and learn.

@@StringofPearls55Don’t bother with cbooth. He’s a non-Trinitarian heretic that denies the title of Christian out-right. He’s dodgy in his arguments and refuses to engage in honest discussion. His lack of fruits of the Spirit give him away as being possessed by a spirit of dishonesty.

Your sales pitch is horrible. First, you didn't do your homework. Second, your phrasing of your question amounts to something along the lines of, "Do you realize how stupid and evil you Catholics are?" Nobody is going to hop onto whichever of the thousands of contradictory Protestant sects that you follow based on this approach.

Well. One would assume, given what we know, no. But then, they don't believe in Heaven either.
