It broke my heart when u said that VD won't vlog because of the hate he's getting 🥺🥺 yaar I love his vlogs they're soo cute n fun ❤ and I guess everyone would've loved to see the behind the scenes of world cup since all our fav people r gonna be together thr 😍 it's really sad that because of some haters we're gonna miss that 😓 and honestly it's really unfair the amount of hate he gets, I mean dude he reached there because of all these years of harwork n amazing performances bt we know him just this 1.5 year n people behaves as if this online chess period is his career. and expectation is the root problem I guess, we blame our parents for that bt even we do the same. we should support someone n be there for em bt not determine 'he'll win' beforehand so when it doesn't happen it hurts n some people go extreme with hate. think of it everyone fails bt in our case not thousands of people r watching n criticising that bt still it hurts when someone close says something bad so think when so many people r doubting his ability not even being close to his skills.

I never understand this logic of criticism in sports. Imagine few friends watching a cricket match obviously they will discuss that he shouldn't have done that or he should have done that that's the fun part about sports, the arguments. Critisism about sports players amongst a group is good but it rarely happens in current generation! Nowadays they have fb and insta where they can easily bully others! Indian audience is very much toxic because of free internet available! They troll our own players and glorify their favourite athletes, and nationalism has reached to such extent that fans have started trolling and abusing the opponents athletes which is the worst situation a person can imagine! Recently Jamieson insta account got flooded with hate and abusive comments because he performed well against india in finals🤷🤷...

Of course hate is bad but disappointment is valid. Vidit should fuel all this hate and criticism as a motivation for his next tournament hope he does well.

The people criticizing VD don't even know anything about chess. Look at VD's rapid ranking, he isn't even in top 100! His forte is in classical chess!! Don't bully him for blitz and rapid formats, especially when is performing well amongst these players compared to his ranking(/rating).

Want to correct you here, he said once that his rapid rating was good but he played a tournament three years ago in Bangalore with Nihal and all when their rapid rating was less, he made draws there and his rating got affected

But the point still remains that compared to these super GMs he is more likely to defeat them in classical. And moreover many players, like caruana (2 in classical but below VD in blitz(29)) are not good with faster time formats, which doesn't mean they should be bullied about it.
