I really don’t want to let go Hayao Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi. His films make me feel so comfortable and calm. Thinking about the end of this Studio makes me cry so much… If I could, I would be the next director to continue with Miyazaki’s works❤

I never cried at a live concert before. Greatest performance I have seen in my life. I wish I saw the first half. I couldn’t find parking anywhere and made it to intermission. I’m so happy I got to see the rest and was blessed to witness this performance!

The excitement and the guy screaming YES adds a lot to the video, lol Glad that the music presentations were silent though, i love Hisahi's music.

It says something that such vivid and robust excitement melted into rapt attention on his first note. The man is a wizard and they were spellbound immediately, I saw the film last night and was very affected by his new compositions, him and Miyazaki are both such masters of their art, Joe casts a whole world into existence in just a few minutes

I love this song so much. There is something both sad and hopeful about it at the same time. I saw the movie at the cinema the other day and it was so incredible. I was just in awe the whole time. And the music soundtrack played so well along with the scenes, it conveyed and elevated the emotion of each scene. I've been listening to it over and over since I was there.

I 100% agree. The music contrasted with the use of silence in The Boy and The Heron was astounding. An absolutely stellar film and an instant classic imo.

this song in particular is pretty weak. sounds like the average pop ballad which is pretty boring. But the boy and the heron has some other ones that I absolutely love.

I think that is what makes Mahito’s theme special. When you hear the opening sequence in the opening scene. It’s not to strap ourselves for something big and thematic, but more rather. It’s an homage to Miyazaki himself. It’s like Hisaishi is conveying Miyazaki in a way that says, “this is me”. Or “here we go again”. I think it works because it’s not pushing us the audience a character who is going to do something awesome. Rather less than that, which the final scene of the film presents that. You can tell unlike other of Miyazaki’s films, this film does not have a central theme we come back to. Hisaishi only had three sequences of this piece play. And a lot of the characters themes only play once or twice. Am I saying this is not well constructed film? No, but I think that is what Hisaishi is getting at. Those are my thoughts at least.

This song made a great contribution to the worldview of great movies. Isn't that what he emphasized? And you were satisfied with the movie, right? In other words…😊
