Dear Swamiji, as a life long overthinking atheist who shunned his hindu upbringing from early childhood, having gained material wealth & family, only to have lost it all, I finally find myself (somehow) with the teachings of the Upanishads. I always look forward to your AskSwami sessions for their intellectual insights. Because Jnana Yoga appeals to me even though I know I am making a mistake of "looking down" on other yogas especially Bhakti Yoga. However, this time I am listening to your humble explanations with tears of joy in my eyes and gratitude in my heart. Its so obvious! Consciousness is the content of all experience. The Jiva's experience of Suffering is that expression of impersonal Consciousness. Jiva is non-different to Brahman. Yet all Jivas are on their own path to see through their own ignorance. Those Enlightened souls having understood Reality work with other Jivas at the Jiva's level to help them overcome Avidya with Vidya with relatable pointings. Just like an oil rig fire is put out by another fire of a calculated explosive blast. Hence, the necessity of God, the avatars, unconditional love & devotion. My understanding is of no utility if it can't be transformed to deal with events and other jivas at the level that is appropriate to them. A test of one's understanding could be: Am I always fine? The answer is: If you have faith in yourself then Yes. My humble thanks to you and your team. Om shanti shanti shanti.

Ignorance and Realization are both Maya - well said the grand Guru of Adi Shankara, Guru Gowdapada🙏. Obviously, yes. Text after text tells us Realization happens only with mindfulness which is part of the activity of Manas not the modern mind. This Manas is called Maya by the Advaita philosophy. Therefore, liberation is an unexplainable state of the soul which only a realized can know and he too cannot explain which has to be explained through mind to be absorbed by again a mind. This is, therefore a mystique science. I do not know, I am fully right.🙏🙏🙏

🙏 Namaste. I have a Question about the end of the talk. I understand the anxiety of Naren, Rakhal, and Arjuna as all the uncounted others, who saw the true „face“ of God for the first time. Then Swamiji tells us about his experience with Swamiji (I did not get the name… sorry…). The Swami ends with „But you Lord have nothing to be afraid of“. Why does that hint to the fact, that no one of those present will get enlightened? Can someone help me here??? Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany. Matthias.

Regards Matthias Bluem, "But you LOT have nothing to be afraid of". The guru swamiji was joking to the students that they don't have to be afraid as though they will not be that enlightened enough (long way to go) to encounter such a frightening experience of the all-pervasive one's true form.
