I feel like a victim of the mental health system. In my eightieth year, I have been seen by 21 psychiatrists. Now it’s social workers, nurse practitioners. How is this going to end? They want to know HOW I function, not how I feel.

@Bella Thank you for the picture of your condition. It is the same with me but not the same...Paranoid schizophrenia??? I am mostly recovered. The illness has burnt itself out pretty much...I get horrible episodes where I lose control of my thinking.

May I ask WHEN will the mental health professionals start looking into the commonality of childhood abuse, childhood emotional neglect, and childhood trauma in the formative years which seem to be THE FOUNDATION of most mental illnesses? WHEN will mental health professionals realize n get education on certain diets for examples: like Mediterranean, keto, low inflammatory,... Plays a huge roll n cognitive function n a big part of helping minimze symptoms? And lastly WHEN will the psychiatric field begin to do IN DEPTH family dynamics background on the patients childhood adolescent and current spousal/in law questions for ALL types of mental illness including suicide hotlines and in patient care? Bc SHAMEFULLY. . . FAR too many people get run arounds for decades. Get RUINED by doctors giving improper diagnosis and far over medicateing, only to finally be diagnosed properly w PTSD or complex trauma? I don't have schizophrenia. I know a gentleman w it. But far too many professionals BETRAY the patients w wrong diagnosis and lack of education regarding - predominantly- the abuse factor being the common underlying foundation in most every diagnosis you throw at us instead of PTSD PE-cptsd or even disenfranchised grief? Then he says it'll help to BRING THE FAMILY IN SEPARATELY and ask them, when THE FAMILY MAY VERY WELL BE CAUSATION? PLEASE LEARN BETTER ABOUT NARCISSISTIC ABUSE AND HOW SYMPTOMS MANIFEST IN VICTIMS. I have lost ALL TRUST in this so called FDA psychiatric system. Thank you for listening.

I like the coffee shop analogy. But if the coffee shop is painfully noisy, why not just get up and leave instead of trying to quieten the rowdy bunch? Because that would be an option too, and it's similar with schizophrenia. There's always a lot of medical application in treatments, but not much insight into the human spirit, with instruction on how to navigate that world.

Having fun online can never be labelled Schizophrenia. However believe it or not once a retired psychiatrist who maybe was into putting down on her tax forms that she was doing contract work diagnosed me from afar with Schizophrenia for doing so. I laughed to myself about it and then didn't give it a second thought. Then a little while later I heard that a woman psychiatrist was put in jail. The psychiatrist who 'diagnosed' me online was a woman too. Coincidence or what?

No decent ethical doctor online would ever answer that for so many reasons. You need to go and see a doctor if you experience hallucinations

I would go see a natural doctor and ask if they could give you a microbiome test. Do a little research on this. It might change your life.

Zyprexa, starting at 5mg and updosing to 20mg, that's the standard treatment. It only helps a minority short-term, you turn into a zombie, coming off of them is worse than any mental illness can be and staying on them sets you up for a hellride and an early death. All "medication" we have available is rubbish and the absolute last resort. I'd rather learn to live with those. I'd recommend to check the vitamin intake first, like b3, b9 and b12 (super dangerous to have defiencies in those, these can lead to those positive symptoms) and hidden traumas.

I know a girl who (had) schizophrenia. She started eating only raw vegan food and she no longer has schizophrenia. I have been doing a ton of research for over a year and have found that the bodies microbiome could be the culprit. And it also effects depression, anxiety ext. Medication seems to effect the microbiome in a negative way.
