Fr. Rehill - thank you for this interview. I have had many demonic encounters during my childhood after my late brother used a ouija board at age 13. This demon would come out of the closet where he kept his ouija board, and it instilled intense terror at it's presence. My sister encountered it as well. It was very tall, blacker than black, very heavy, and was dressed in a black monk's habit complete with a cawl. I was only 11 yrs old when one night it came out right after I lay down to sleep. My sister and I would always run out of the bedroom in fear. But this night I had my transistor radio with me and wanted to stay where I was. I was used to seeing this demon, and my irritation at being disturbed was greater than my fear. I asked it (in my head) "what do YOU want?" rather sternly. I didn't know this was telepathy at the tine I was only 11. I heard an answer in my mind " I want YOU! I want your soul". I grew angry at it and said with conviction " well, you CAN'T have it!!!". There was a few seconds delay in it's response - then it said "well, if I can't have your soul, can I have the soul of your first born son?". I thought this was a ridiculous question - I was only 11 yrs old and not married. But then it dawned on me ( probably with my angel's help) that it was speaking of my future. I answered emphatically "NO, YOU CAN'T HAVE HIS EITHER". This enraged the demon, and it made a move towards me to attack me. I immediately called out to the Blessed Mother to help me. I was a Catholic school girl at Immaculate Conception school, and had learned a lot about Our Lady. She immediately came to my rescue. I felt a protective shield of peace surround me. This stopped the demon in it's track. It stood in that one spot unable to move through the night. I fell asleep very peacefully. The next morning with daylight in the room, it had vanished.

Hi Father Dan. Merry Christmas! I wanted to share a grace from God that I received at mass on the first Sunday of Advent. I've been told to share my graces, so here it is. After a beautiful homily in which our priest always teaches us different ways to call on Jesus and invites us to do so I had a vision. I think that's what it was. Jesus approached me wearing a blue, white and gold. His heart was in the middle. He had blue eyes and his dark blonde wavy hair shone. He placed his hand on my head and said, "My child." Then, he slowly moved further away until he disappeared. It was the most peaceful and emotional experience. After the mass a woman sitting next to me introduced herself and said she was compelled to give a prayer card. It was our Blesssed Virgin Mother, Queen of Peace. My prayers in my daily rosary are being heard. The pray on the back of the card confirmed this. Our Blesssed Virgin Mother Mary intercedes for us and Jesus Christ our Lord loves us unconditionally. We are truly all God’s children and He wants us to be close to Him and love and forgive and be at peace with our brothers and sisters. God bless you and all your holy works always, Father Dan. You are in my daily prayers.🙏🎄

I can understand the mother’s concern about her children revealing too much in confession and having it used against them by less than honorable people. I agree with Father Reehil in that if the children have something burdensome to confess, encourage them to attend confession where the priest cannot see the person.

The caller that had a concern about the passage in Matthew where even the SON does not know the hour in which the FATHER will command the 2nd Coming reminded me of what I shared to a PSR class of 7th graders on that particular Bible verse because we we discussing the 4 last things and the end times. I told them to always be ready to meet CHRIST. I then added this. Mind you this was only my opinion. “Class! The FATHER will give the SON a one word command, and that word is,.. NOW!”

A good place to start could be “Rome Sweet Home” by Dr. Scott Hahn. It tells of his conversion from Protestantism to Catholicism. I also think that the books put out by Ascension press are very good for explaining the fullness of the truth of Catholicism that you may not have been exposed to before. Even many Catholics, who aren’t properly catechized fine these books helpful. I think the most important thing is to start with catholic Bible studies and then work your way up to the more complicated books and church fathers. May God bless your journey.

Catholic Answers is a great resource. They have an outstanding apologist named Trent Horn who has a channel on here called the Counsel of Trent. Hi Fr. Rehill! Can you help explain to me why I was graced by a Marian apparition wherein she did not speak? I know at the very minimum it was a grace beyond graces. But I ask specifically in that is this a sign of a calling to the cloth? I'm willing to abandon myself completely for our Lord, but I do still want to be a father- a better one than mine. 23:00 hypnosis relies on high executive function in the brain. It's purely physical. I tried to use David Speigal's hypothesis app for relaxation for three weeks with zero results. I found out he actually wrote a paper on this and it turns out if you have low executive function (e.g. ADHD) you are not able hypnotized because those two parts of your brain are not able to communicate effectively. My very good friend who has the highest executive function I know got hypnotized just being a part of the audience of a hypnosis show. She wasn't able to unclasp her hands until the host said the word that un-did the hypothesis.

@16:12 it is the was they use language too. we really need to humble ourselves and read the Bible in context. as in 1 Corinthians 2:2, where Paul says "For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.". Essentially, he is stating that when preaching to the Corinthians, he focused solely on the message of Jesus' death on the cross. Where Jesus says that, the end is only for His Father to announce, as Fr said It is about obedience to His Father.

My understanding per what I’ve read and listened to about St. Thomas Aquinas’ teaching on this is that angels had all the knowledge they ever needed to choose God when they made their choice. They are pure will and pure intellect and once they made that choice, they can’t undo it. And they wouldn’t undo it. They aren’t like us - stuck in time with imperfect wills and imperfect knowledge. Each was created with a specific purpose and they could reject it or accept it.
