Laura Harward, LICSW, director of the Intensive Clinical Program at Wounded Warrior Project’s Home Base program, says they have a strong relationship with the VA, including a fulltime VA liaison embedded in house. This liaison meets with each veteran, regardless of discharge status, to help them find specialists and resources in their communities once they return home and also to sort out what benefits they currently have and could have in the future.
