Thanks for the information - especially the logical reason why no car (that I know of) allows you to permanently deactivate Stop-Start!

Looking at buying a Trend. New or very close to. Vehicle will be a 20 year investment. Will be used as a daily and some weekend Warrior adventures. Having a lot of trouble picking the engine. Love to hear what people would recommend and why.

Hey mate I have a 2019.75 Trend with the 2L motor. I like this motor, it has decent pickup and feels very smooth. The transmission is nice but can sometimes skip shift and this isn't the smoothest. I use mine as a daily driver with some light track use (only stock for the meantime, used to get onto some of my local beaches). There are a few Everest pages on Facebook with many experienced members (some were on this video)

INTHEPLUMMS cheers mate. Any other issues? How do you find ad-blue?
@tingey64 жыл бұрын
@@brockohutch1433 I haven't personally had any other issues. There can be some small rust patches on the inside bottom of the doors but Ford tend to fix them really quickly. Other than that there have been some reports of cooling issues when towing heavy, but I haven't towed heavy so I cannot pull from experience. My ad blue usage is pretty good. Just clicked over 26,000km and I have only filled up once so far. Thankfully it's at a few service stations near me so easily accessible.

@@brockohutch1433 Bit late but anyway my 3.2 uses about 1litre per 1000km so range is 18000ks. The local BP has a bowser and its about $1 litre. Vehicle usage is generally light/medium duty - about 90% on road with some rough stuff in the Snowy and some towing a 5m boat and other trailers less than 1500kg. Hope that helps.

Hi, RE door rust - I realise this is an older post but have a 2018 Everest and I'm a little alarmed 2 of the 3 owners had door rust issues. One owner had a clip of his Everest quite deep in creek which would help, but I don't do this and my vehicle is garaged when not in use, so I'm just after more details and what (and where) to look for any signs of this problem. I still have a couple of years of warranty and want to ensure I have this covered before the warranty runs out.

Sorry "quite deep in creek which would NOT help"

How is it in this day and age the doors on an Everest rust? Have Ford fixed this issue? Do they replace the rusted door with a new one but have the same design fault? I just don't get it.

Go to the Everest FB group for info. Lots of chat about it.

Hi Jacob. I'm not sure what rock sliders Jeff is using but both Michael and myself have the SCF rock sliders and find them great. We both installed them ourselves.

Just looked them up they look good. Did you go flat or on the angle? If on the angle can they still be used as a step?
@timkinross11814 жыл бұрын
I went angled and it is still fine as a step. I would recommend getting the checkerplate as it can help stop as much mud flicking up the doors. I didn't and wish I had.

An Off-roader named brayden howie , He is also got the KZbin channel with the same name has some amazing Everest videos He has mentioned in the comment section that when rock mode is activated the automatic clutch system of the Everest maintains a 50-50 torque split between the front and rear axle In Other words it’s like a centre differential is engaged Is that correct Robert ?

@@Deatomizer is it auto transmission? Trend or titanium?
@Deatomizer3 жыл бұрын
@@gutadin5 Everest only comes in a 6 speed auto and it's solid. Always knows what gear to be in and never misses a beat. Even when towing the trailor on camping excursions it's strong and never hunts like my Camry which has a horrible transmission. The only thing I would add is a trans cooler but haven't really needed it yet.
