Those were the days....never had a 47 yards right as I'm a lefty but i do remember those 47 yards left shot (back in the day) 😁 I think lots of companies will be trying to be the "best home" launch monitor. This would be it at the minute but it's also the most expensive. As competition continues i can see them being more affordable for everyone as time goes by.

wait when i see you stickers at 05:36 is that right placment of the stickers???? the to in the "middle" should be between the 6-7 groove or am o wrong? pls make a video of that and why you dont agree with them about it. Also if there a way to see low point with the Quad, and if it does not, should't that be something that the Quad could do since it sees very clearly where the club is before it strikes hte ball? and after :P Last question what screen are you using? :D Great video!

Can you do a comparison between GC3 and GCQuad? Where you use both at the same time and compare the numbers?

Hi Jimmie, unfortunately it isn't possible to compare them side by side due to the infrared flash used in Capture process. Having used both extensively both the GC3 and Quad are just as good as each other for accurate ball data. The Quad obviously has more parameters measured in its club data capture but for the price the GC3 is a solid choice 👍

This will very much so depend on how you have the software setup and if you are enabling barometrics. You can have it set to give different carry numbers depending on the conditions so you can see how the same shot would be if it was summer to winter. Or you could very easily have it set to the same ball data on both 👍🏻

Question though: How does GC3 calculate ball flight and movement without taking into account face angle? Surely that is an important part of the equation? It's good to know your path is 1.0deg in to out, but if your face is 7 degrees shut (for arguments sake) will it account for this?

So the 3 Cams that the GC3 has, 2 are dedicated to ball flight only so is totally separate to the single Cam measuring the club dynamics. So the ball data and flight information is gained separate to the head data so no calculation is done, only measured information 👍

@danschiavello always, try and respond where possible. You can backwards work out your face tendencies as long as strike is close to middle. Miss strikes can twist the face and cause miss understanding in delivery 👍

Quad will always give much more information which a golfer can use to improve their swing. The main issue I've found with people able to afford LM's for a home setup is that theyay have the information to hand but without the knowledge of how to correctly apply the changes, it can be a very intense battle of making one number better and 2 other numbers worse 👍🏻

How annoying would this be for a lefty/righty setup? Most of my friends are right handed but I’m a lefty. Overhead sims are just a tad too pricey for me

Within a playing environment, you are absolutely right. In a coaching environment its simple to move the LM. Running a GC Hawk or similar is obviously best for Leftie / Rightie but come with a large price tag unfortunately 😕

Would you upgrade a gc2/hmt to a gc3? Gcquad is out of range for me but I’m interested in gc3 for portability but losing 4 dot data..just not sure. I’m not a fitter or club pro though..

Hi John, if you have come from a hmt unit it is difficult to suggest to come away apart from at one point both units won't be serviceable by foresight so difficult to get hold of spare parts. When it comes to the GC3 it's not really an upgrade from a HMT coupled GC2. I'd possibly look to sell your GC2 and HMT separately to gain maximum value and then search for a decently priced 2nd hand Quad. Although if this is out of your price range then it's hard really what to suggest.... 😐

Hude downside is that you need windows you see anything! The minute they get courses working on ios the better.

Every club will work, you can even use something other than a club to hit the ball and it will register ball data but possibly wont get head data from say something like a tennis racket, wouldn't know where to place the dots 😀
