Turning on your headlights and putting away you phone when driving: very demure, very mindful
@NewYorksWorstDriversАй бұрын
I see so many drivers drive without lights on here in Brooklyn. They think because their dash lights are on their headlights & taillights are on also. Which isn't always the case. Most of these cars now have auto setting so drivers dont have turn on their headlights for them to work but like you said they're distracted by something way more important than paying attention to road safety and whats surrounding them. Good content. Looking forward to seeing more. Just subscribed

My life on a bike began riding on Long Island, but I've never ridden in the city. One of these days, I'd love to ride in Brooklyn and Manhattan. When I get back to visit family, I've thought about trying to ride out to Montauk, but Long Island seems specifically hostile to anyone outside of a car.

The bizarre thing with this driver is that he irked his light back off after turning the corner, then back on again. Weird. On another note, great seeing you guys at BLAH.

Trying to think of how headlights “accidentally” turn off 🤔🤔🤔

Maybe they distrust the pedestrians and people on bikes telling them how to work their car?

Maybe it's a rental, and they don't really know the car well? 🤷🏿♀️ Judging by how far back they stopped at that light, they are definitely distracted, though. The majority of people really just shouldn't have a license.😅

@@casperornadepentagonsfrogp5352 I'll give someone the slightest bit of sympathy if it's a rental, but that doesn't matter. Part of being a licensed driver is knowing how to operate lights, wipers, windows, fill up gas, etc. Rentals generally come with the manual, but either way it doesn't take more than 5 minutes to Google these things for your car.

You are too kind/understanding. Headlights off or on and off signal a DUI !!!

Your comment got me to do some quick research, where I found that, according to the National Library of Medicine, "the impairments associated with using a cell phone while driving can be as profound as those associated with driving while drunk." pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16884056/ Driving While Distracted might as well be a DUI. No wonder the road are so dangerous.

I enjoy your videos as they have a lot of similarity to mine. I make similar videos in Geelong, Australia, although Geelong is smaller than San Diego, we have many of the same issues. If you like Riding Bikes in San Diego, you may also like my videos on Bike Route Buddy channel.
