When I first heard this new song from AA when I was 15 y.o. I thought I had a grasp on it. As I age I have noticed a tendency to die inside every time I hear this song, yet it fills me with great hope at the same time. This song opens the gate to reminiscing on all the childhood friends and family I have lost to od, suicide, murder and other traumas so I may somewhat repair the damage that has been done yet will never get over. Anyone who tells you to just "get over it" is either hiding extreme trauma or has yet to experience it, there is no in-between with people who address grief in such a harsh manner.

Not a single one of you understand this kind of music. You have to understand that he was 17-18 when he made this song. He's been though a lot in his life, and he writes these lyrics as a form of relief. And he writes them in a way where anybody, adults and kids included, can relate. He's doing no harm to you people who decide to criticize this music, by writing about how he feels. He's doing more right now than any of you criticizers will ever do in your entire life. He's saved a lot of people with depression or anger, or however you want to take these lyrics as. You've done nothing to help with mankind. Go somewhere else with your opinion where it actually makes sense. Thank you.

@@blakedurston Why don't you people get that they are human and its their band. They said before and before again they make their music mostly for them. To get there anger and emotion out. If you truly love aa you'd like whatever they put out. If not listen to their old albums. Danny is a human dealing with post alchohol addiction and for some reason it won't get through your thick skulls. He also just joined back into the band so it's a nice welcome back from what he was doing. Be happy with what you get because he could be doing vocals like he is with his new project. They're still great and talented musicians and you act like they don't play their old songs. Grow up already because they have.
@IconicMicrowave
@IconicMicrowave 5 жыл бұрын
@@blakedurston They've been going in a more hard rock and metal direction since Reckless. Just compare this album to Reckless. Way less emo. Everyone knew it was coming. Danny wanted to be a rockstar and make rock music since the beginning. This was the gateway to that and they were still kids on MySpace when they made this album. They grew up and embraced their influences.

I first heard this band way back when I smoked weed for the first time. I was at a friends party when I was 18 and I remember taking a giant gravity bong hit, sitting down in a dark room with one of those spacey light show globes, hearing the double bass drums from this song blasting in time with my heartbeat and going into a trance where I felt like I was in a concert but by myself. I bought their first two albums that same week. Such great memories. I miss when this band was good. They need to make a comeback scream album called “Sit Down and Shut Up Already” lol
