I absolutely fell in love with this album as soon as I heard it. My grandma surprised me with the pre-order disc and concert tickets for Christmas. I saw Danny and all the other beautemous lovelies on 3-1-18 in San Francisco. I was crying the whole time all while trying to sing along with every song. "It felt so sweet, I couldn't imagine in my wildest dreams". It was so fucking blissful feeling, I can't describe it. I have listened to AA since the start. I'm going on ten years. I have loved every song, and every album. Including this one. If you can't do that, while appreciating their growth as a band, how can you call yourself a fan?

It's so crazy that its already almost 2023, it seems like only a few months ago it was 2017-2018, wish I knew of these guys then. Found em in December of last year, thank god I found em! better late then never. These guys are the reason I've widened my music options so much, I love Danny and Dennis, both had unique sounds and Ben, their guitarist seems sick as well! they all just seem so...down to earth. Its written from the devil's perspective when he tempted eve to eat from the tree of knowledge the forbidden fruit in the garden of eden and is basically saying that how can you be truly free is you don't know everything and if he doesn't want you to know everything, it makes you wonder if that's because he doesn't like us and some shit like that basically. It's a super great song and a sick song meaning. They also have a song called morte et dabo from their earlier stuff also coming from the devil's perspective when he was tossed out of hell and how he's angry about it and wants to kill God and take his place and destroy all that he has created. It's also probably their heaviest song.

One of my favorite songs Asking has ever made! A great evolution of their sound, and honestly I wish there was a few more songs like it on the album. They took their time, and made a song with great sound and genuinely good lyrics. And honestly, my only gripe with the album is that I prefer heavier songs, and there's not that many on here. That's not to say the music on the album isn't amazing (it is), it's just not really my preference. And that's fine, a band is allowed to create whatever damn music they like, and people are allowed to both like and dislike it, everyone has different tastes. Still though, I enjoy listening to every song on this album, but *Into the Fire, Eve, Rise Up, and Where Did It Go?* are the songs I see myself still listening to years from now. Great album guys, looking forward to whatever you guys come out with next!

Found myself streaming this album. After LAHOF, and hearing their new song Alone Again, it made me sad asf. I know Danny said this upcoming album is the most passionate they’ve been but fuck this album had all the anger, passion, heart, everything. Plus we got this banger Eve, the closest thing we have to the good old AA. Danny talking about his old self, overcoming all his addictions and habits. Fuck am I the only one who feels this way? Lmao

I think that people, sometimes, just forget that they're listening to music. To art, and not to men. They are listening to a work, to something as magic that it will never be touchable, concrete, that will never exist appart from the moment it is listened by someone. This is real magic, as magic as any other song. Can't understand people that say it's shit compared to the others albums. If you listen to something with expectations toward what it has to be like, you're missing the whole point. Art doesn't answer to expectations, it answers to the one who decide to produce it : the need of discovery. The desire of creating the unkown. Real magic. Appreciate it. And if you can't, at least, don't compare. Art is led by the will of discover new territories. Of course, the new will be different. THAT's the point.
