I agree, im doing first 2 album vocal covers back to back in June. I'm doing it to protest AA new sound and audition for a band who wants to do 2009-2011 inspired A.A. Or similar (see Skarlett - Nicholas Rage, I see stars - end of the world party, Issues, of mice and men etc) i have a portable recorder so all i need is the studio. I will do the video in real time but the audio will be coming from condenser mic, for better quality

Hearing this in 2021 compared to when I first heard it back in like 2010; It gives me more appreciation for Danny Worsnop's vocals, now that I myself have more experience with vocals. His range and versatility is pretty crazy.

He tore his vocal chord on tour after his second album. That’s why he doesn’t sound the same anymore FYI.

@@lance_1612 to me he sounds better. He gained more range and a deeper voice. But it’s not because he tore his vocal chord. He’s been training his voice for that. He can still do the same screams as well.
@lance_1612
@lance_1612 3 жыл бұрын
@@voidman1ac380 Jace his voice change is 100% due to his vocal chord tear. This is a direct quote from Danny in an article on fuse interview. I can send you the link if you want. I've done my research on this trust me. he can't sing high anymore. "A year after metalcore singer Danny Worsnop began missing shows due to a torn vocal cord, the Asking Alexandria frontman tells Fuse News about how people have reacted to his altered singing voice. Describing his vocal injury as a "scary time" during which he didn't know if he'd ever be able to sing again, Worsnop tells Fuse he "worked really hard" at recovering and has since "matured" his voice to a place where he's happy with it. And if you aren't a fan of how he sounds now, well, he doesn't care. "Some people complain and say, 'Why don’t you sound like 2009, 2008?'" Worsnop says. "Those people can just f--k off, pretty much. I've matured my voice and mastered what I'm doing with it."

@@lance_1612 okay I must have forgotten about that because I was prob doing drugs in that time period. Lol but anyways he still sounds really good to me. Every album since even FDTD I hated at first. Then loved. I actually really like the new stuff when I separate what genre I believe they should play. If I want heavy Ill listen to underground upcoming metal or metalcore.
@lance_1612
@lance_1612 3 жыл бұрын
@@voidman1ac380 Trust me I'm not knocking them. I'm a huge fan of their first two albums I think the original post-hardcore stuff is more my style though. I'm not a fan of their other albums after he tore his vocal chord but I completely understand that Danny had to adapt and change in order to keep the business and career alive. I was a huge fan of their 4th album with the new lead singer which came from the band "make me famous" because it sounded like their first two albums. It's unfortunate that the new lead singer had to flee back home because his home country was going through war and didn't return back to the band. I told you I knew a lot about Asking Alexandria lol.. but in the end they adapted to a bad situation, remade their sound, and became mainstream which was their ultimate goal, so kudos to Danny and the band. If you haven't heard his solo album I advise checking it out, because that kind of genre really fits Danny and his new voice. It's a southern/country rock album and sounds amazing!

The fact that the were only 21 and younger when they made this album is amazing. They were born to be part of Asking Alexandria. It’s so crazy to think about how much life they’ve lived and how much music they’ve made. I know they have a really hard to please fan base but I mean come on! Look at what we grew up listening to from them! Nothing beats old AA but I’ll always love and support them as a band.
