Asking Australian Residents How Much They Make In a Year (Sydney)

I went out and ask strangers how much they think is the perfect annual income to be able to live comfortably here in Sydney. The questions really vary, but at the same time are very similar.

If your salary begins with 3 it’s better.. double bay average salary is like 400k before tax… So if that’s the average over there. Then that’s something everyone else needs to aim for in sydney. Then I would recommend everyone to stop saying 6 figures… start saying if your salary begins with 3 with 6 figures then you should Be ok may be Then everyone needs to think About the depreciation of the Australian dollar…. It’s like Hong Kong dollar.. everyone earns 6 figures but it’s more like what number does it begin with

@@parvatanand good question. I think the answer they give it to me was after tax each. So the couple meant 100k each annually

@@ZMS_96 Most Australians refer to their annual income before tax. If a job is paying you $120k per annum, in general you will be paying about $30k of that in tax to the government. A person earning $45k will pay $5k in tax. A person earning $100k will pay $23k, a person earning $150k will pay $41k, a person earning $200k will pay $61k in tax.
