In my experience, Hecate was like “why the fuck are you doubting yourself? Get back to work.” I totally agree with Olivia! I needed this from her at the time. It was like “you know what to do, what do you need me for” but then she would leave signs throughout my reality that were crazy amazing 🤩

I've heard "why would God do for you what She could teach you to do for yourself" and honestly, I think about that a lot.

I tend to think of deities in the same way I think about the people I know. I, personally, wear a lot of different hats so I assume deities do too. My experiences are often "harsh mother" vibes, but I honestly don't wanna listen sometimes so maybe it's what is NEEDED to get me to pay attention? Maybe the mask She wears when She speaks to others is soft and gentle, but if She wore that one with me I might not be paying attention to Her, ya know?

I always find it really interesting when Olivia talks about her experience with Hekate, fyi my experience with her is the loving of not exasperated way - because in my upg entities behave differently depending on whether you come for a relationship or a specific learning moment alone

Books by Morgan Daimler are excellent! They go back to the original lore and translate from the traditional languages. They have written a book on Freya, Thor, Odin, and The Norse Pantheon. These would help you to start to become familiar with the Norse Gods and the lore that was written about them by their original believers.

I had a tree as a child that I climbed and sat in for hours and I miss that tree so much. I live close by so I drive by but never stop because it’s in someone’s yard. I plan to get some leaves from it this fall to frame because it’s on the edge of the property.

Love!!! How can we do the underworld ancestor meditation??
@tupecktherappingparrot43452 ай бұрын
SRA/SA Survivor’s circle nightly 9p-1 PST till theres justice/reparations/gubmint acocuntability in usa. We will be working toward those magival goals and peeps can join from home at those times in prayer/meditation/dance energy and send energy to our circle. Pees can use this time to honor lost ones to this. We’re lobbing what they taught us back at them till theres justice. Somw of us still practice better ways than we were taught. But since we have these skills lets use them till survivors of the wrong way get justice. Hope to see ya there in spirit witches!

Love y'all together!! On the note of Roman and Norse gods together on one altar: Jupiter did not agree. His offering candle left a big black mark on my wall. I was planning on moving them to their separate spaces but Jupiter did not want to wait. Worship them in their own ways, but working with them in a ritual is fine. Make sure there is mutual respect.

Honestly, I question someone's truth when they say things like "Hecate is so kind and nurturing." Or the same thing with the Morrigan. They're called Dark Goddesses for a reason. They are tough love beings that demand blood, sweat and effort. If you want kind and nurturing Quan Yin and Brigid have always been moreso that energy for me personally. Not my place to say, but still, can't help but feel that way... lol
@aakeilah2 ай бұрын
I think it depends on what you define as nurturing and kind. Tough love to me is seen as kind because I needed that in the moment and sometimes I don't. The darker goddesses never come to me as this super mean energy, but as a let's get things done. We will all have different experiences because were all different people.

For Hekate, she is a mother that loves her children but doesn’t sugarcoat or take no bullshit things from you. It’s a two way street effort and not everyone is going to experience the same goddess. I don’t think she comes to everyone with love and light but she isn’t a stand off or distant goddess but a practical entity that will put a mirror to your face.
