Hi Kristen! Just want to encourage you that the old has gone and the new has come. And just as when you got baptized in water in the name of the Jesus, it means the old man has been put to death in the water and you have come out alive, a new man in Christ Jesus. I believe that who you were in the past, your sins and every ungodly thing were erased in the memory of the LORD. In Hebrews 8:12, it says that God will remember your sins no more as you come and know HIM. You are a new creation the moment you accepted Jesus in your heart and got baptized. Your identity is found in the LORD Jesus Himself as you will be led by the Holy Spirit to know HIM. Be of good cheer! You are who the Holy Spirit says you are in Christ and we all got this privilege to live from every living truth that God says 😊 I bless you even more Kristen!!

Even going to a Christian college, I see SO few men who want to serve the Lord that it’s discouraging not just because “oh no how will I find a husband in this world “ (tho that too lowkey) but just that this generation has so few that truly want to follow Christ. But seeing this video and see that the mindset and morals and values that I have are not crazy, and are valuable in my perspective is so satisfying because especially in college, I think people will judge and look at you differently which causes me to hide my beliefs and causes my growth in my relationship with God to be stuck. Like the old saying goes, "you are who you associate yourself with." So, in case this is part of your situation-you may need to give up some friendships/relationships and form new ones. Love them, pray for them, help them in a manner in which God finds right, but that does not mean you are obligated to hang with them. Spirits, as you'll come to understand through scripture (if you haven't already) are very real. Spirits can attach themselves to a person. That is why there was always preaching (at least for me growing up) about "stayed prayed up." Pray for yourself to be covered in Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Financial, Emotional, and any and every other way possible, in Jesus name, Amen. If you hang with someone who is always cursing, drinking, doing drugs, and/or having sex (before marriage), you may find yourself having a desire to do those same actions or some similar. The more you are around something and/or someone that is not doing right according to God's Word (the Bible), the more you can stray from Him, especially when you want to be more near Him. You will either follow Jesus, or follow the Devil. You have to decide for yourself, because you are the only responsible in where you end up after death on Earth. There may be a pull to do some things that are not of God, but the more you pray, read (pray for understanding before you read, while you are reading, and ask how to apply the scripture to your everyday life), and hang with people who do the same and continually strive to put God first in their life, you then will have a foundation in you life. You build your foundation with God's Word first, and you conduct yourself, and hang with those that are like-minded. It makes it easier to stay on the right track. It won't always be easy, but that doesn't mean you give up either. Pray and ask God what He wants you to do, where does He want you to go to church. You can ask God anything. You can pray for Salvation, forgiveness, and deliverance. All you have to do is sincerely ask, and not continue how you were previously. Read the Bible, and study it. The answers to the questions you need to know are there. Pray to God to give you the scripture and pray to Him to give you an answer. He will literally answer you. Don't be afraid to lose friends/family. God is always with you. He loves you and so do I. I pray this helps you. I don't know much. But I know that what I typed above is the truth. May this help your spirit. Bye!

This is encouraging because as a guy I don't like the idea of a huge expensive wedding or all that attention on me as I'm very reserved unless it's preaching about Jesus. Anyways so getting eloped sounds so ideal but probably 7 out of 10 women have a dream wedding of some big event😅

@jennabetters3 жыл бұрын
Was homeschooled growing up, and I can confirm that… while it wasn’t like “oh you’re dating? when’s the wedding?” necessarily, there was more pressure on relationships JUST BECAUSE our community was super tight-knit, and all our parents were friends with each other too. Several couples dated 8th grade to college and got married- and then half of those couples divorced. Part of me thinks it’s because…. they didn’t know who they were as a single person, or they didn’t really take time to get to know and appreciate (on a friends level, I’m not saying they should’ve gone crazy and “dated around” like maniacs) different people around them. People grow and mature in amazing ways between the age 13 and 23. Giving your heart to someone at such a young age (with everyone around you, including all the parents, going “awww! so sweet! let’s hope they get married!”) can be very risky.

@katherinethompson32392 жыл бұрын
I don’t know how I stumbled across your channel as I’m not a Christian, but what Andy has to say about honesty before marriage is so on point! Sharing your addictions and pitfalls is VITAL to ensuring your marriage will be healthy, because your partner cannot accept you without accepting all of you, and if they really love you they will accept all of that anyways. Heck, maybe they will love you even more after finding out what your addictions are because they share the same ones! That is what happened prior to my marriage; the relationship was made so much stronger because we have been able to grow together and provide each other with the unique support that comes from someone who has navigated the same obstacles.

God bless you, I'm glad you clicked here! If you want to become a follower of Jesus, I encourage you to look at Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Bible that talks about Jesus' life on earth. These verses are also very helpful! Romans 10:9-10- If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

We av been dating for 5months now...we met at the airport in another state..he came and sat next to me waiting for our flight. We struck a conversation and realized we were going to the same destination, we attend the same branch church and he was the nephew of my direct neighbour who lives in the next house! Why i am telling this story is because one wud say this divine orchestration...he is the one!Which he might but then...i am still not sure and at that point where am praying for clarity. Perhaps he came into my life for another reason and vice versa...not entirely to be a partner but to help in my journey. So...it's hard knowing.

I don't know how I found this video series, but I am glad I did. I've never dated before, so this was a lot of insight. I was homeschooled until graduating in 2019, so I didn't see a lot of people, as our small church youth group was just me and my sisters. God has a plan and He does it in His timing. It gets hard to wait, but praying gives power to be patient. And a heart for ministry says you have a heart for God. Thank you for these videos, and please do more. I'm actually hoping to see a vid on married couples or newlyweds, which may offer wisdom that church folk just don't share at church. I mean, some things are better said on a 1-on-1 or small group basis. Y'all probably won't hear this video topic(s) in a church, but its real and its honest and its needed. I have my own question to pitch-- I was brought up to dress modest. I mean, I own skinny jeans but no shorts above the knee unless its swimwear. No plunging necklines, etc. Do guys have to be picky about clothing or is there some sort of man-code on what not to wear? I got home late from church tonight and read my bible and then drifted to some christian comedy vids, and somehow ended up here. I pray you guys find the one God made for you. Don't ever stop praying cuz your future spouse needs it as much as you do. As Danny Gokey sings "You're closer than you think you are. Maybe you just haven't seen it yet". Wait for God. Christians face a hard path by choosing to wait and to hold to their standards. Turning down others, being rejected yourself, being ridiculed. God didn't say it would be easy. But my adoptive parents listened for God and this fall they will celebrate their ( 47th?) anniversary. For that kind of devotion and love, I wait. Y'all, there are SO MANY people in the same boat, these guys, those who comment here, we're the tip of the iceberg. I almost didn't comment because I don't like putting myself out there for auction. God gave me a tidbit and I'm keeping it close to my heart. Just want to be a source of encouragement. Pray and don't stop praying. PUSH-- Pray Until Something Happens. God will show you when you reach your blessing.
@vivaeuropa2 жыл бұрын
As a Christian man my modesty is avoiding tight fitted shirts that unnecessarily make my physicique pop out. I don't wear muscle shirts. If I wear sweats I'll put on basketball shorts on under to make my private part image less visible since I found out girls notice that when a guy wears sweatpants. That's pretty much it guys don't really have many unmodest styles of clothing like women lol. Also I want to say it's great you dress modest sometimes I lose hope that women don't take modesty serious anymore.

11:03-11:50 I agree with Isaiah and Andy. A person’s personality, maybe they’re not attractive to me on the outside, but their personality makes them, attractive. And like Andy said, a person could be super attractive to me on the outside but then their personality is trash, makes them automatically less attractive to me😅

10:01 As a married guy I get it that being young and never married it really feels like it is the finish line but really I can tell you once you are married you will see that all this was actually so small compare to the rest and that now you are actually at the real starting line. So I know it's a big deal being young but don't focus on it. Trust me, it's just a mirage. Don't focus on it that much but more on what comes after and what you can start now to be the future husband/wife you need to be for your future spouse.

I don't know why I'm so surprised at the maturity in these videos. I went to a Bible Institute for a couple of years and I guess I never thought about the guys there really thinking like this and pursuing God in this way, even though I know there were many there who did think like this but just hearing guys openly talk about these topics is really, really encouraging.

This was really good to hear, I couldn't have said some of the things better myself. It's good to get another Christian guy's perspective on dating and relationships... and girls. Lol. They seem genuine good guys and I hope I could be like that one day and grow into the man that God calls me to be.

These videos are so important and packed with so much clarity, confirmation and breakthrough. I’ve always wondered what is on the heart of a man of God, you know? We always see the shell but never know until it’s cracked open, but this was amazing to see their opinions and thoughts of these things + beyond. Everyone’s different, of course but God bless you sister for you really posting this!! Do more videos like these, it’s amazing to see the work and insight on how God operates in others lives!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

when I saw part 1 I really liked Andy's way of thinking and I feel so identified with him. Now that I watch part 2, I just love it and I so agree with everything he says, he has such an eloquent and meaningful way of speaking and he bases it all to on the bible. I agree with all the answers he has given. Especially when he explains the part about being with someone who has already had sex, not that we have that person as a sinner, but because we are trying to keep ourselves for marriage, I would want the other person to have done it as well.

I love this! Thank you for sharing. It's great to see what a Christian males perspective of a female is. Also these are not Christian men, these are Men of God(huge difference) As a 22 year old college student, this gives me hope for our generation and seeing that people still have the right idea of Jesus, spreading the gospel, and serving God in our life and marriages until his return! Thank you for being the example! God bless!

I am a Muslim girl and it is crazy to see the similarities between Islam and Christianity. Like their opinions about dating, sex before marriage etc. I like their perspectives. We want a part 3 of this video with more deep questions.

But there's a big difference. Jesus died as salvation to save us from our sin. You god wouldn't lay down his life for you. There's sacrificial love. And its intimate. with certainty of heaven.

@@efuakoomson598 My Ghanaian sister in Christ, I don't think this comment is kind or showing of Jesus. Yes Muslims and Christians believe different things but there was no need to bring their religion down.

@@nanawordie7967 Speaking out loud Jesus as lord and savior isn't bringing people down its exalting Jesus and warning them of the dangers of hell that they face as non followers of Christ. It says in scripture about a divorced women seeking a new partner. God said "She may pick who she wishes as long as he belongs to the lord" So I agree we can pick who we want but at the same time we shouldn't be too shallow or let worldy standards fog our vision on semi attractive people who may be great spouses.
@lizf26103 жыл бұрын
As far as the conversation went on the question of being in a relationship with someone you don't find attractive, I would totally recommend listening to the podcast episode "The Temptation of Beauty" by Timothy Keller. He touches on this topic in a very cool way from the book of Proverbs and I think it could challenge some of the thoughts brought out regarding that question.
@JonathanGillies2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Thanks for sharing! A helpful perspective from Tim Keller, but I wouldn't say he contradicted anything the boys said. :)
@vivaeuropa2 жыл бұрын
The way I look at it is in scriptire he referred to a divorce women being able to choose someone she wishes as long as he belongs to the lord so that's our green light we can pick someone we're attracted to as long as we focus on their heart first and appearance second.
