This is probably not "normal" for most couples, but I met my wife on a blind date on a Thursday. We had lunch and dinner the same day and Friday, spent the day together Saturday and Sunday. Sunday night, I proposed and she accepted. We had discussed many things during that time including our beliefs, interests, and what we wanted for our lives. For me, it was love at first sight and she said the same was true for her. We were engaged for 6 months and got married. We were 25 and 26 and both mature souls for our age. We will be married for 31 years in August of this year. Have there been ups and downs? Of course, but we have always been extremely committed to one another and our vows. I love her more now than I ever have. She is the best wife I could ever have hoped for and without her I know I would wither and die.

Moving in to your bf/gf house is a big decision and really doesn't matter how many years you are together. Renting/buying a place together is different. When you move in to your bf's/gf's house you are leaving your old place meaning your "home" is where your partner lives and you contributing in the bills as you used to for your own place. So here is the tricky part: what happens if you get into a fight or you break up? You find yourself in a very difficult situation where you need to keep yourself together and find a new place to live while you are probably having a mental and emotional breakdown over the break up. You are the one who has the tail between their legs because he/she can tell you "get out of my house". I'm all in for couples living together before marriage since it's the only way to actually realise if you two fit together in the most important part of life -living in the same space and make every day compromises. But be sure you will have equal rights over the apartment and probably discuss what will happen if anything goes wrong with the relationship. That way you have less to stressing about and make the whole experience better for both parts and most importantly, the person who is moving in won't feel uncomfortable and awkward in every little fight that can happen between a couple!
