My mom isn't very open with me and I kinda hate it... For example all my friends who are all pretty much my age although most are younger have all gotten the birds and the bees talk and the period talk when they we're 10-11 I think? Yet I'm one of the oldest of my friends and have never gotten "the talk" (I turned 15 last month for reference) and when I got my first period u had no idea what was happening and I thought I was dying... My mom literally said oh once a month girls bleed out of their private parts once a month and handed me a pad I had to learn what s*x and periods were from Google and KZbin... And I wanna be open SO bad but any time I try my mom gives me the dirty look... So when I have kids at some point I will be the most open mother ever...

I’m about to be a freshmen and my mom never told me about periods , sex and just taking care of myself in general. She is strict for somethings like social media (I can’t have any social media except KZbin) I cannot have my phone at night etc. but at the same time she doesn’t really care about my grades and stuff. Oh also super random but if you go on birth control, you get a bill every so often from health insurance but it doesn’t specifically say what it’s for it only says “you owe blah blah blah” so if u get a shot then you get a bill 4 times a year and it will just come from whatever company you go too like for example “atrium health”
