Back in my early 20s I had to live from 50 cents a day, one meal a day and some days I had no meals. I would not have had any money for diapers. Pulling out a friend and pretending he was getting 2k reward to make me look bad, I don't think that's right. You don't know their current financial situation. I have been a teacher for 28 years, and my girlfriend and I have been helping students from economical depressed families. Buying them lunch and getting them school supplies. All I am saying is that not every one who did not help you out with either gas money or diapers, etc., is necessarily a selfish person. There are many people suffering in silence.

Sadly, the "diaper scam" is the latest in my area. A man approached me in Wal-Mart, and said he was a single dad raising 3 girls on his own. Could I pay for the diapers and maybe a frozen pizza? I told him yes, and said "Go get a cart, and we'll get some milk and a few other things." He said "No, just the cash for diapers. I have to get to a job interview." Gave him cash. He then turned away and said "Now, I gotta find where my wife went." I saw him walk out of the store with a woman, no diapers, and my $22. I have very little, but I don't let the few bad people stop me from helping when I can.
