What is Freedom? What does it Mean to be free? Is it Money? Is it something else? We’ve always searched for freedom, we’ve always been in pursuit of freedom and we found it at least partially through van life and this is our van life story. It’s been exactly a year since we started our travel vlogs and started sharing our van life story with the world but our pursuit of freedom has been ongoing relentlessly for the last ten years. In this episode we break down what freedom means to us, we ask others there thoughts on what they think freedom is. For us it has and always will be van life and travel. This is our story.
WHO WE ARE?
Emma and Reese a married couple who for the last 10 years have been TRAVELLING around in various CAMPER-VANS. Now with our little dog Daisy we TRAVEL around in our SELF CONVERTED VAN showing you how to VISIT the VERY BEST PLACES the UK and EUROPE have to offer. We don’t pretend to be anything but ourselves and believe in always staying positive.
Our CAMPER VAN called Romany is a 2019 FORD TRANSIT VAN that is our TINY HOME ON WHEELS.
We have also bought a 57ft CANAL BOAT which we are currently converting and will be going between the VAN and the BOAT to live life to the fullest and bring you enjoyable CREATIVE VIDEO CONTENT.

From this vlog, I experienced what we would all want from life if we could BUT life for the majority of us pulls us in a different direction. People, like me, might have disabled children, sick relatives, and living the free life isn’t possible as we have to take care of them. It could be ourselves who are the poorly one’s needing care. That’s why we work hard to try and provide for those unseen eventualities. However, watching you gives us a chance to dream through your eyes and know that for some freedom can be attained.

That’s a great point Glynnis. I think freedom can be found in the small things in life Aswel not necessarily on a big scale. Sat in a garden on a summers day watching the birds or watching a favourite TV programme with family or waking up early to watch the sunrise it’s the little things in life I guess 😊 thanks so much for watching appreciate it 😊😊

Congrats 1 Yr anniversary! I loved this vlog, took me on an emotional journey. My time of freedom was as a young teen, we hung around the fields all summer, swam in the canal, never went home not even at night, we just lit a fire and sat around singing and drinking cider, jockeying horses belong to the travellers. Life was just one long summer of freedom! Of course then I grew up, but I will never forget those times. No fear, no sense of danger, just free to be. Enjoy your travels and your freedom for as long as you can. By the way, the Buddha says no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing. 🙏🙏

Congratulations on your first year vlogging, by far my favourite youtube channel. I’ve watched every episode more than once. I’ve watched other travel, van life vlogs and quickly got fed up with them for one reason or another. I really enjoy your content as it comes across real, from two real genuine nice people. In answer to the question ‘What is freedom?’ Freedom to me is subject to what someone wants from life. I don’t know what I want from life but I know what I don’t want, and I stay clear of what I don’t want. Freedom to me is also dependent on other life issues. I gave up my career to enjoy my life while I can, while I’m healthy. I have just enough money to cover my outgoings each month with enough spare to allow me the freedom to travel around as often as possible in my small Ford Tourneo Connect car/camper. I don’t know what the future holds, nobody does. I’m preparing for it though by living in the present. In my opinion that’s the best video I’ve watched you guys produce I really felt connected with your thoughts and views, Freedom probably comes in various dimensions how to be yourself and not what society expects, how to break the chains that we tie ourselves up in that can be difficult.

The problem is that if someone obtains complete freedom, they are almost bound to curtail someone else's freedom. Hmmm!! The logical conclusion of that argument is that freedom means having certain boundaries. Oh dear... 🤔🤔
