Asking Siri About Her Favorite Books

Ok you caught me, I'm borrowing from Anthony Fantano. But today I am asking Siri about books, rather than albums. I ask about some of my favorite authors and some authors who I don't like as much. If you guys want to see more books being picked by Siri, let me know! This was a lot of fun to do.

McCarthy's best is clearly Suttree! Followed by the Border Trilogy. I'm actually pretty lukewarm on The Road overall. Dead Astronauts is my favourite Vandermeer, but I need to read some of his earlier stuff, I hear good things about Veniss Underground from people I trust. King, I'd say either Revival, IT, or The Shining...maybe From a Buick 8... Fun video though, I wonder what criteria Siri is using to pick these answers. Because if it's purely from a popularity aggregate or something, these aren't always the answers I figured would make the cut.

My guess is popularity. I have to say, mine’s still Blood Meridian, though I like Suttree and the first two Birder books immensely.

@@someokiedude9549 Blood Meridian is forever a classic, I think I prefer the humanity and gnosticism of Suttree and The Border Trilogy though. Can't really go wrong with McCarthy, though. I didn't love The Passenger but I think I need to reread it. One of my favourite authors of all time, though!
