All the folks who had you paint something for them were great people! But, I must say that the last family was one of the most genuine and appreciative members who deserved everything that came their way. Their faith and the emotional response was pure, which is what I believe led you and them to meet. Marko, I am a 77 yr. Old Native American “Chiricahua/Mescalero Apache”. We don’t let ourselves be sentimental, but you put a tear in my eyes and a Smile in my Heart. What you did for that Mexican family ( who are also Native btw) goes way beyond friendship. Our history of dealing with the “White Man” isn’t very gleeful, Treaties, Promises have always gone bad, so to trust you was a very big thing for them. You came through and then some, when you paid their rent, you made up for past indiscretions. Finally, a White Man we could trust and be vulnerable with, that meant a lot, you’ll never know. Please, stay in touch with them, you will benefit, God bless you young man! Stay Safe, Stay Strong, Stay Humble….SanJoséBob

i am Greek and as a people had a lot of hardships like a 400 year old occupancy by Turkey etc. But it always hurts me when i learn about how american natives where whiped out and driven out of their land. a whole beautifull culture was erased almost completely from this earth. we got our land and freedom back and it still hurts. i cant imagine how you must feel sir. america is supposed to be the land of the free and opportunity but it always feels ironic because i never forget how it came to be....i just wanted to express that as a white person.
@lorrainelamour7224Ай бұрын
SanJoseBob I'm very sorry for the wrongs that were forced on the people who lived here first. Obviously this land is big enough for all of us. I hate unfairness and ANYONE who takes advantage of people who don't have the same technology or defenses. Those generations of people are long gone, yet the effects have lasted. I hope you and everyone can find a new way to relate to each other to heal that pain and make today and tomorrow better and clearly different from the past. All my friends agree that the Native people weren't treated right. I'm angry at anyone who made a formal agreement and then broke it - that's shameful. We wouldn't do that to you. Thank you for posting this information about your culture and how what happened in this video is significant. I learned something! 💜 Take very good care of yourself and I'll share a phrase that has helped me: Let the past stay there.

I know you’re nervous asking people, and it’s endearing how you do it and stumble over your words, but give it a try to rehearse an “elevator speech” that hits on the highlights of the experience for the person: “I’m a local artist,” “I’m a KZbinr,”“I love doing improv / spontaneous art,” “My style is XXXX,” “I live down the street” (that’s a good one), “If you’re up for this crazy experience, you’ll get something cool to show off.” Etc. show them the garage wall and drum set to inspire them with confidence in you. As for when you’re trying to paint a wall in someone’s home, you don’t want to “paint a wall in your home,” you want to “create art of your choosing on a wall in your home.” Good luck - keep it up!!! These are great! Well done!! EDIT (to include additional context based on a reply below): I absolutely don’t mean a “programmed” speech. I mean like they taught in school on how to give a speech: sit down, write down your bullets, then stand in front of the mirror / your friend / your mom and deliver those points until they roll off your tongue. Then you don’t have to think about your words and you can concentrate on your interaction - your vibes. And I only mean this in the sense of what another posted said: it takes a long time to knock on doors just to be rejected. Marko has something here, it’s really enjoyable to watch and those who take him up on his offer are delighted. I want to try and inspire confidence in him so he can continue delighting those around him while HE’S having fun doing it!

Agreed and all your points is definitely spot on. At the same time as a viewer it is refreshing that something isn't rehearsed as well, it's just him being him.

The work you did on that family heirloom is freaking amazing! Not only does it look spectacular but that's something that family can really cherish for decades to come! Not to mention fixing it for them is such a goated move!

Last one was definitely my favorite too, my eyes started tearing up. You used art to make something important to them even more sentimental and personal, they were grateful for just that and then you gave them rent. Seeing their reactions was so nice, im glad such a kind family was chosen

Now this is the kind of KZbinrs we need!!! Caring, Honest, and Respectful!!! I love how he was even "honest" about the whole "Compton" click baiting. To be honest bro you don't need the whole click baiting thing. Just be honest about what you are doing, and people will watch, Subscribe. Because you have amazing talent, and you love to share it with everyone. Keep up the great work "MARKO" much love bro!!!

Dude… this is true content… with real substance. A real genuine human doing what he loves and using his gifts to share with us in a creative way. Yet we have “content creators” that do nothing but gossip, with no talent whatsoever. Can we have more of this???

Crying not crying when I saw how special you made that last family feel. The homemade wood shelf was sentimental to them. When gentleman started talking at the end, I couldn’t help but to cry. Thank you for being a blessing to so many people. Especially, the last family,❤️❤️
