Anyone thinking I'm being a jerk to the first interviewee by saying "That is incorrect". Just know I was talking to one of my best friends and we were laughing the whole time! And the lady I say "I hate you" to is our production manager at our company 🙂

A humbling learning experience, to be sure. I enjoyed getting to meet you at VidSummit and learning so much from you not only about heat pumps, but also about KZbin 😎

I’m very pumped for the video! Definitely some heated debate on what a heat pump is.

What unit was that demonstration that can still move heat at -17? I've been contemplating using a heat pump to make a cold/hot room like a dual zone sauna. Using a heat pump to move as much of the heat from the cold room to the hot room before running the sauna heater to get it up to full temp seems like a great energy efficient way to get one side cold while the other side heats up. Most heat pumps get way too inefficient with large temperature swings for it to make sense though. Sauna heaters are usually between about 5 and 12kw for home use. And still take an hour or two to heat up the room fully. Preheating it to 110F with the heat pump and then ramping up the heater should save about a third of the energy and would make the cold room already pretty cold so that you could do cold/hot room cycling if you wanted.
