Freeze the video at any time...ANY expression she makes is captivating. My Gawd, she could live on her looks, but she's so REAL, not full of herself at all, and such a love affair with Brooks. Talent, personality, depth, intellect....fuck cancer for taking away such superior people...I'm gonna crawl away now and cry....

She was mean but good in a movie called Homecoming in 1996. I recommend it if you never seen it. It is a rare family film but it is great. I just ordered it online. Can't wait to watch it again.

She scared me in that movie. However, it's when she starts to soften up when I cry with her. Especially the end when she finally reveals why everybody in her family left

The interviewer got off on the wrong foot when he said that Mel Brooks made her do some embarrassing things. It was all downhill from there.

Happy Birthday Anne Bancroft! You are so missed! Why did you do this interview with this guy! Boy what an idiot he is!! He does not know how to ask you anything and he talks too much. Anyway Love you! Don't like him.

I love Anne, but this interview was awkward and hilarious to watch. From the moment the camera zoomed in on her, and she had that unenthused reaction in her face to the moment when he called her "Mrs. Robinson," and she dodged it by saying, "where is she?" I knew this interview was going to go downhill from here. However, her reactions and mannerisms were totally valid and understandable. My favorite part was when she threw some shade at him, lol after he asked her a dumb question if Mel ever put her in uncomfortable situations in any of his films she was in, and she said, "you know, I was a grownup woman in those films. So I had something to do." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I applaud her for being so kind and mature during that whole interview because she could've easily been like Robert Downey Jr and just leave

@@preetakumar6593 At least in the Charlie Rose and Bobby Wygant interviews, she got to speak more...
@preetakumar65932 жыл бұрын
@@rebeccassweetmusic4632 Exactly. Anne's voice is very pleasing, and I like to here her talk. The Bobbie Wygant one was good, the Charlie Rose one was ok, but at least they didn't try to talk over her. This interviewer is annoying. His first 'Mrs Robinson' remark was a poor joke, and I've always thought it sucks that her role in The Graduate overshadows the rest of her wonderful filmography. Her response was pretty good.
@rebeccassweetmusic46322 жыл бұрын
@@preetakumar6593 EXACTLY!!! TY!!! I get really annoyed when ppl call her Mrs. Robinson, like? We get it! Frankly, that movie does very little to show the amazing talent she had. The Miracle Worker is an excellent example of her remarkable skills (especially with method acting). I loved the Bobbie Wygant one but it was too short for me. I enjoy the Charlie Rose one because even though I can't stand him and also didn't like how he interrupted her a few times, it was still lovely to watch a whole 40-minutes of her exposing herself and talking about her movies. It was nice to see her expose her personality. She seemed like a lovely and sweet person who cared about her craft and also cared about the important people in her personal life.

Yikes! I love Anne Bancroft, but she didn’t seem too eager to participate in this interview. I think the interviewer put her off right away by calling her Mrs. Robinson. After that, she just gave him some unenthusiastic answers, and I agree with her attitude.

I agree!! I don't think I've ever seen a terrible AB movie. She would be in a not so great film and still make her scenes amazing. She had this way of acting with her eyes and face. She was also such a natural at skillfully changing emotions in a very seamless manner

This interview was extremely uncomfortable; uncomfortable for her and for the audience!!. I believe this man was oblivious to his cringeworthy approach. She started our very relaxed but tensed up rather quickly. Though on guard, she maintained her dignity and composure. Unfortunately we missed out on the funny, brilliant and engaging Ms. Bancroft.

creative media But that’s not how to be a good interviewer though. You’re not supposed to fill the space. Watch this ted talk: www.ted.com/talks/celeste_headlee_10_ways_to_have_a_better_conversation/discussion
@effiebanks56425 жыл бұрын
You need to go back to creative media school if you think this guy is doing a good interview. From the first sentence when he said her husband made her do alot crazy things, you can see, she's wondering, what is this guy talking about. She actually asks point blank, when he tries to move on to his next ridiculous topic, and he has no answer. Someone clearly wrote his script and he has no knowledge of her in reality, so of course he can't give an example of what crazy things he means. He doesn't know any. Why would someone who knows nothing about the amazing star he's interviewing, be chosen to interview her. One can easily see why some people walk out of interviews. She choose not to, but boy did she every right to get up and leave this debacle. Awful awful awful.

Effie Banks agreed. And I love the backhanded shade she threw about being an ADULT when she married Mel so no one made her do anything.
