Hey guys! I am sure some of you are confused why the channel “Matthias 2” was renamed to “Unrelatable”. You’ll see in the video. Basically these are super casual vlogs around the studio. Might not keep the name, it’s whatever. A lot has changed since I last uploaded. What would you like to know? Let me know your feedback down in the comments below! Thanks!

I just miss old Team Edge a bit. Not really about you not being there anymore. I completely understand that. But I miss the days when you guys would just make videos on regular board games / party games without making them giant or EXTREME and stuff. It felt more authentic when you guys were just cracking jokes at each other. Now I don’t keep up with TE videos at much anymore because everything just seems blown out of proportion and you guys kinda rely on the intensity for comedy.

Same here, I still see the new TE videos but I definitely like the old videos better. I just think I laugh more in those videos. If a video is too professional I don't find it as funny. J-Jokes and like the made up team edge words, I miss those! I like rewatching their old videos...
@anxieturt
@anxieturt 5 жыл бұрын
Jayflower Exactly. I really thought they were going to make a book out of those made up words haha. And they never address the Edge Games anymore. Or eg points. And sure they use the wheel from time to time now, but it doesn’t have as big of a role as it did in the old videos. I miss small Team Edge.

I throughly enjoy the content put out by your studio. I have subscribed to most if not all of the channels. The videos are interesting and funny which is what I look for when finding new content to watch. Dope or Nope was the first channel I ever watched from Hi5. Once I realized that there was more content from the same group, I wanted to subscribe and watch them all. Thank you so much for starting this company to allow collaboration and a creative safe space for your creators. As I walk into student teaching next semester, I know that I could potentially be teaching a future KZbin creator. My job is to encourage their curiosity and creativity and give them ways to use it.

I love having you back, but I also seriously appreciate what you're aiming for and acknowledging. Personal fulfillment within the workplace is unbelievably important, as is growth: personal, as teams, and as a company. It's in the lack of seeing, acknowledging, and then accommodating for that necessary change in order to grow that so many companies lose employee retention, continuity, and, overall, the life of the company itself. I sincerely hope that Omneity, Inc., and it's subsidiaries are around for many, many years to come. Despite not being part of your team, I'm quite interested in what these colors may bring. I wish you, your family, your companies and your teams all the best!

This idea is so cool! I love seeing the actual behind the scenes kind of things and really learning the flow of HI5. I would like to see more of the people behind the scenes. I think it'd be cool to show what actually happens before a video is produced(like how the ideas are made or how you all brainstorm ideas) and the process that that video had to go through before being released.

Dear Matt, First off, I wanted to say congratulations for all your success. It’s been amazing to watch all these channels grow for so many years and to learn about so many different people. I honestly am not sure if I’ve missed a video in like...2 years? 🤔 Secondly, I’ve been especially interested in GG, as I play video games professionally for a living, and I’ve got a good amount of feedback so I’m sorry if this is...lengthy to say the least. I’d like to start off with the fact that I have really enjoyed the content so far from Minecraft - GTA especially with you, Paul, Tanner, and Connor. My first and probably biggest criticism though is the variety. I know a lot of people are feeling this and I know that you guys are aware of this but in terms of games that I’d suggest that would be good / entertaining with multiplayer would be: Risk of Rain 2, Stick Fight, Super Smash Brothers (would have to invest in a switch for the GG but honestly I think we’ll worth the $300), Overcooked, Runbow, Hyper Jam. And that’s to name a few! Honestly I think that hyper jam is something you would all absolutely love. My second criticism is the lack of mature content and this is more of a personal thing but I know that without a filter you all would probably be even more funny than you already are so why not make a new gaming channel that focuses more on an older demographic? Something with Gore, cussing, whatever. A lot of twitch streamers recently have been shifting content to family friendly and then they’ll have “After dark” which essentially means more adult content. I think it’s something that Hi5 should absolutely branch out into and I think that Paul, Connor, Tanner, and Woodland would be amazing with. CJ would probably also thrive in a non censored (even though you can probably just bleep if they cuss because monetization). Anyways that’s just a couple of ideas that I had, if anyone (not just Matt) made it this far I want to say thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. ❤️ (Edit) If you need an editor or someone in the gaming industry to bounce ideas off of let me know

I expect that you have learned this already, but everyone bring different strengths to the table, and have weaknesses. So you have to build teams so that when they work together they have chemistry as well as fill all the boxes needed as a production team. I really like the cool environment that you make at Hi5 studios, how supportive you are of your people to create or not create what they want, and when like Shannon they grow out of it, and decide to go to another channel or company.

Awww Matt, its nice to see you back. You and I spoke a couple of times right as your vlog channel was getting huge and I had told you ....."it sucks that once your channel gets to the size that your vlog channel is, it is harder to have one on one convos with the creator" . On the flip side of that however, was that it was so nice to see you grow after so much hard work. Anyway, nice to see you back after your break from social media. You and I are very close in age and I totally get wanting to step away for a bit, especially when you have a family. The negativity specifically on the internet can be a bit much.

Thanks for the heart Matt :-). Lol, I edited my comment because I get anal about punctuation/grammar (I left a comma in a weird place) and it glitched so that now it doesn't show your heart :-(. So excited to (maybe, I know you said you weren't sure) see you post more on here. I selfishly hope this particular channel stays small haha. Also, can we talk about how big Luna is now? I miss working with people...I work alone in an office as my Father's Office Manager. I don't get to go to lunch with anyone anymore. I don't have conversations. I don't get to make new friends. I wish I had an environment like this to work in. Even the "boring" stuff seems so fun. Most channels/teams I watch,, there are a few that don't tickle my fancy..but everyone else is fun to watch and you wish you were a part of it. That means you're doing something right.

Good luck Shannon! It's good to see the more serious side of you again, I love hearing your views and your take on things. What would you say is the hardest part of running Hi5? How did you get past the moments where you felt like giving up?

Nice to meet you, Matthew. Good name ya got there. I'm pretty sure I am not your target audience, but I enjoy watching most of the Hi5 videos. I will sub this channel so that I can learn a little more of the business side of things.

Honestly I'm a fan of this new format. There's tons of content on KZbin that's great for quick laugh, and that's great, but it's nice to see creators like Matt who care about more than just funny content. I think this vlog had a great balance between being fun & entertaining, but also being able to teach something if you're willing to learn. As far as feedback goes, I'd say a lot of the Hi5 channels are suffering from repetition. For example, BU seems like it's had a lot of stale content lately, and GG's numerous Fortnite videos have started to get old. Now, I'm not saying any of these videos are bad, (they're not) I just think they could use some improvements or a change of pace. Also just wanted to say, I think Matt has done an awesome job of staying engaged with his community, even through his long breaks he makes us all feel welcome. And by having smaller channels like this one to interact with the community, Matt has kept things feeling personal, which I feel like a lot of the really large youtubers don't do very effectively. (Sorry for the lengthy comment, just felt like I should share my thoughts. And if someone has read this up to here, thanks.)

I think like having vlogs like this and more like i dont know , I’ve just been binge watching Matt and Amanda so I’ve just been missing that kind feel. It felt like with that you guys did whatever you want and it felt like a part of a family. It didn’t feel forced I guess. And I think with channels like GG, BU, and Rekt is that i think the fun or that feel is lost. Like I don’t think the channels need to be cut but I think that feel of everyone enjoying doing this would help even the fans want to watch like for BU instead of trying to do the new fads and stuff go back to the old videos. Find that passion again. If it doesn’t feel right when you’re filming it, we will be able to tell when it’s posted. Like I have to say Totally Trendy and Dope or Nope are currently my favorite channels right now because it has that feel of fun and you guys are actually enjoying it. I love that Sam is getting a chance to show what she loves and create new things and have fun. Like that’s what I feel has slipped out of view recently. Yeah you want to create content that will work with the algorithm and make profit because you guys run a business but you also want to make sure that you’re having fun while doing it. That you are enjoying it. Because there’s no point of creating content that will make you money if you don’t enjoy it yourself.

I've been a long time watcher of the Dope or Nope channel, back when Matt was still doing sketches... and I have to say I love Matt and what he stands for as a person. But I've stopped watching a lot of the Hi5 content because a lot of it has become repetitive to me, I haven't watched any of the Hi5 videos recently even though I am subscribed to the channels. Maybe my interests changed where these channels didn't, but I hope to still support you and your work. I'm more interested in this sort of stuff than the entertainment part as of now. Also, still really hyped for your novel!

I love when the vlogs are a mix of comedy and some relaxdness like more people being their natural selfs,within the family friendly of course! It would also be great to maybe have a new more serious channel where different memebers of the studios,if they so choose, talk about their religions and their beliefs and just kinda be more open about their beliefs and share some of their views and maybe have some people who share some of the same views talking together and some where people who have opposing views or beliefs talk and just discuss why they believe what they do and everything and just delve more into the spiritual side of things.

I enjoy this real style content. It gives a glimpse into vlogging and shows its not just jokes and smiles. Im interested in the new channel and think it should kinda stay in the same style of the first vlog. And the other channels so far are great, but not too much different crom other channels. This new channel will be amazing for new vloggers and a great way gor yoir employees to see the truth and learn more about the expectations.

I’m glad your vlogging again though. I’ve been watching since team edge first started so I’ve seen many channels come and go since then, hopefully this means something better is coming it usually does! Also I agree with some of the other comments that there’s a lot of fortnite on gg, those are the only ones I don’t watch ahah.

This is a pretty insignificant question I guess, but: Could we get an update on all the interior design changes that were happening awhile ago at the studio? I've been curious at least. Welcome back, Matt! :)

I see the reasoning for committing a lot to channels like rekt, get good, and battle universe. The age demographic targeted is suited to that content. But what I like about dope or nope is that it does relate to older ages as well. To be honest I’m a female in my early twenties, and as someone who works with kids I see how the majority of your content relates to a specific group that isn’t me. But I like a lot of you guys. I like the people at the studio. When there was a joke about the high five after dark thing I was so down. On another side, I’m an artist and seeing what other creatives are doing for their job is just as exciting to me as you guys goofing off and being friends.

You should do a throwback episode where Tanner is in the hot seat, You are on screen in that old chair, and Michel is off-screen helping Tanner and You when you don't know what to do. It would be really cool if you did that. #Nodifacationsquad

I personally and I think a lot of others would agree, I'd like to see more mature content. I know a long time ago you talked about hi5 after dark and I'd still really want that podcast or video series startup. Just as something for the other viewers to enjoy even more. :)

My grandnephew watched Hi5 Studios when you taped out of your home. I thought it was the best channel because of the competitions kids could try and no bleepings! At Orange Base, the Team Edge "vlogs" were great. Watching the behind-the-scenes of Hi5 Studios was as entertaining as the competitions. Watching you join the physical competitions was great, but, inevitably, as a director of Hi5 Studios, you had to step away from them. From this premiere of Unrelated, it will be great to see more casual vlogs from you and the people of Hi5 Studios.

I'm glad your going to do the cut and dry daily vlogs, because I love that about Hi5 universe before battle universe became a thing... I'm glad it's not 'artifitial' because that exactly what me (and I'm sure many other) want to see.

I’m only 15 and I want to start a channel when I get out of college and get a stable job and I want to do it just for fun and I really like this channel because it gives me a better understanding of what it’s really like. Stuff happens behind the scenes. Not everything is high energy and fun, you have to work hard if you want to succeed. I don’t want to get famous I just want to do it for fun and this gives me a new view of how to make your channel better.( btw I love dope or nope 😁)
