Nowadays istqb certification is not mandatory and no one giving to much attention to it but if you have it its good and if not no worries . rather then going with istqb you can enhance you skills in manual and automation testing and can prepare your self for interviews .

Aishwarya rightly said. Certification won't help you, to get hired you have to crack interview. If you perform well in the interview, on one gonna ask you about certification.

Hi Neha, if you have the api request details and endpoint you can use any API testing tool or library like Postman, Rest assured, SoapUI etc
