I am a makeup artist. Most of my Indian brides want to look fair and ask me to make them fair. The brides whose skin tone I match perfectly to the foundation, and normal highlight are the ones who tell me its too dark (even though the foundation tone matches the skin 100%). To salvage in that situation, I highlight more and blend dark and light tones with a medium third tone. Then the clients are satisfied and not looking ghostly or grey. Too light and you risk making the client look grey and ashen. If you make the person of colour look much fairer than what they normally are, then the blusher should not be too bright, or if it is a bright blusher it should be applied sparsely and blended very well, even blended with translucent powder. Caucasians (some) want to look tanned and people of colour want to look like they have never seen the sun, that is a good rule of thumb for makeup artists.

"Fair makeup on dark skin tone" wth is this?! I'm soo dissapointed with how light she looks after the makeup. On top of that, those who already hate dark skin tones , will take this as Normal and further advertise Colourism. Even famous brands here can't have inclusivity.

Good quality makeup needs a long time, a high level of skill and hard work, but even after excellent makeup, if bridal/women's nostril hairs are visible or an unclean nose deteriorates the whole hard work. The nose is the most beautiful organ of the face, and nose hairs give a horrid look, a shameful situation. Suppose a bride reaches her in-law's house and her nose hairs are visible, or her nose is not ultra clean, which is only possible by nostril waxing; it will create a shameful situation for the bride. Suppose a bride with prominent nostril hairs is with her husband; how will her husband feel? A nose haircut is another option, but this is very impractical. Hirs come out from the nostrils after two days. Will a bride go to her in-law's house with a scissor? No This is the essential duty of the beautician to convince the bride for nostril waxing before the bridal makeup starts. After nostril waxing, hairs will appear after one month, which is enough time for a bride to become comfortable. I humbly request to do nostril waxing for each bride after convincing her by explaining all these facts and videos on nostril waxing. You should NEVER do Nose waxing. The hairs are there for a reason. You can get flu or something . The hairs catch dust particles to filter the air before entering Air passage. You can cut the hair with safety scissors. It's basic grooming that every Man or Woman does. Married or not. If a bride can't do basic grooming for herself, I don't think she's ready to be a bride yet. The same goes for Men.
