I started buying ASML stock about 10 years ago. I have not sold any and when the price corrects it increases. My biggest positions are long-term in companies or sectors in which I trust. ASML is clearly one of them and SOXX (ETF) within the Semiconductor industry. Thanks for the video.

Great insight, ASML is one of my core LTBH, should do well over the next 5 years as AI continues to grow. Still looking for opportunities in other chip stocks though. Waiting for the pullback.
@davidcherve8 ай бұрын
Besides the numbers, I keep telling myself: really low (almost non existent)probability of bankruptcy; the possibility of whatever their R&D might bring; and also, if chip nationalism becomes a thing, maybe demand would grow much more. At the same time, I missed it when it was under 550€. Such is life.

The EXE:5000 high NA is not expensive, it is a machine that is almost impossible to manufacture and contains the latest technology in the world. That is why it is worth what it costs and ASML customers should buy it to remain competitive. I think ASML, TSM and Samsung are by far the most prominent companies in the sector.
@chipstockinvestor8 ай бұрын
Nice point @sepolopez6706, in absolute dollar terms this machine is expensive, but the value is clearly there for customers. Exciting times for the chip industry!

Thank you for sharing! Because of your videos I got the confidence of my first positions ever a few days ago. I invested in Qualcomm, AMD and Tsmc and I'm looking for a position in of these equipment manufacturers. I'm considering Besi. Should I wait for a good opportunity because they might have the same volatility as some of these other fab equipment companies, or should i get in as soon as possible? I have already read the motley fool article about Besi that you referred to in other comments, but it reads ambiguous to me. Would appreciate your guys' take on it.

Thanks @FreyrDK! We really need to get around to that BESI video... Personally, we are on hold, valuation is a bit high for our taste for an equipment stock. But that's just us.

Thanks, for all the information you provide I'm glad I found the channel. I've been a chip investor for 4yrs now, thankfully I got into asml around 300, 500, 600, sold ( had to 😢) for a nice amount around 760's. The nerd in me loves the semiconductor industry, I'm thrilled for the asml stock investors. I'll continue watching for now, I will add asml to my portfolio for the long term (10-20yrs) once we get a little pull back.

In this or in other companies, do you ever consider selling (and ever have done it) because you think prices are way too high, and your money would be working better for you in other assets/stocks?
@chipstockinvestor8 ай бұрын
Sure, we sold all of our AEHR position late last summer for this reason. We tend to buy and hold, but if a valuation gets particularly egregious we'll consider selling.

ASML and TSM had optimistic earnings calls. LRCX saw no improvement in their market but their stock went up like most Lg Cap Tech. This is a trading market, it goes up and then down. I think you people are translators or cynical mystics. Good job again.

The optical system of EUV weighs just over 1 ton, while the optical system of High NA EUV weighs 1X tons. There is an exponential relationship between the weight of the optical system and the selling price, so of course High NA EUV is quite expensive~
