I feel like every point that Punkrat tries to make has the sole objective of diminishing retail WoW and say it's a shitty easy game and put Classic on a pedestal, it being the greatest game ever and that it's incredibly hard

Yeah, I think he hasnt looked at it super objectively. In my opinion classic is a healthier experience, BUT anyone who says its harder than retail is a not thinking. What he said in a couple of those tips is true tho. You do have to pay more attention with trash mobs in classic, but that doesnt make it harder lmao

In Vanilla as a mage I mostly see tanks use AOE skills (whatever that have for it) and de-sheep my targets.

@ Randoms while leveling etc. Paladins can't help themselves and always put consecration down. Locks put dots on everything.. Like.. people seem to assume that sheep are immune to damage or dot effects will go away when a target is sheeped. Well, paladins were the worst from what I experienced. Everyone else would learn if we run longer together and focus targets letting me sheep whatever wasn't being attacked... but paladins just never learn. One even tried to explain that the GOLDEN/YELLOW effect on the ground was my flamestrike (that I cast after nothing could be sheeped and I decided to try and wipe out the pack before it overwhelmed the healer), the effect that was on the ground before I cast the spell.. then he tried to explain it must have come from the bloody orc npcs we were fighting (only light leaves yellow effects, orcs don't do light.. dude)... and in the party we had a hunter and a rogue or warrior, none of whom had that type of area of effect skill.

Idk what punkrat is talking about. Mages can Aoe pull in dungeons without even needing a tank. only reason you ever need the tank is for bosses or rounding up the mobs in order to AOE them down

as a 34 rogue i owned a 43 mage twice out of three battles, he got me once whenn i missed my grenade. Iron grenades and landing it is crucial.

I strafe using my mouse you can use A or D to go left or right then drag your mouse to strafe

Threat was a joke by end of bc....but then again this comes from a tank who just talks with all the highest dps apologizing for the guilds decision to use me as an offtank/dps/healer instead of kill target tank because they dont pull off me but do off our other 4 tanks who are specced to just tank

I think like 80% of what punkrat is saying here is bullshit. he is part of the "classic was so hard" clownfiesta and still talks about CC,aggro management, knowing the mobs etc while in reality, ppl aoe rush through the dungeons and raids in basically retail style (at least in the right group combinations)

aggro management is definately a thing for MC and onyxia. CC is spammed in MC, mainly banish, and CC is used all the time in UBRS. CC becomes a huge thing though in burning crusade

I don’t think it matters who rolls and who wins. We all want gold. We all need gold. My need for gold is equal to your need for that item that you’ll actually use. Who’s to say otherwise? For example, I might use the gold from that item to buy the one I need; if you don’t think I should receive an item then why was I even able to roll for it!? Oh because Blizzard realises that anyone can use the item, just depends on how they want to use it.
