@dakotashroom54012 жыл бұрын
If someone thinks of a theme for a story they can probably write 50 stories that are just as interesting as this one. If you don't believe me than that's fine. You should try writing your own quest with only 3 things on mind. These things are theme, task, and story. The theme is the flavor text of the quest. Think of it like a genre or category of characteristics. The task is the list of activities the player does during the quest. The story is the writing that pieces everything together.

Well, yeah… it’s easy to make up ONE stand-alone story. But try writing 25 stories that ALL have to tie in to one story that was made up 20 years ago by a guy that’s no longer with the company and can’t be used for helpful info on the plans to tie them all in. I’m not giving blizzard a pass, by any means, but being super duper impressed by one story and shitting on a company that has been telling stories and … trying … to tie them all together for 25 years is … idk, weird.
@marineentertainment6118 Жыл бұрын

@muufle Жыл бұрын
@Bouzsi Yeah, but take it in the perspective of any media franchise, there are highs and lows, where a first few seasons were mid or maybe even okay but after they get really dull, just to get REALLY good later on, this actually happens a lot. Hell, even the walking dead had dealt with this, too! By the way, they were are adapting a comic book that they completely changed the story of, by killing off an extremely crucial character to the plot, so they couldnt rely on the books as a guide anymore and was in the same position wow is in now, and even had a drought like I said just before, but they picked up the pace later on. WoW is an ongoing story, not multiple stories tied together, it's supposed to have a goal and an ending in mind but they don't care, nor will they ever due to them having no need to do so, as they're being paid an absurd amount of money for doing practically jack shit.
