Funny but my recollection of playing WoW long ago, just about everyone, including me, Kara had a special place in their heart. I also liked the re-release of Naxx, that was fun (during WOTLK, I started playing right after Sunwell had been released in BC, I stopped playing just before ICC was released in WOTLK). Kara was where I fell in love with WoW, Kara was where I went from being a total noob to learning raid discpline, how to maximize my warlocks's DPS (and where I learned that I was very wrong for "not bothering with that quest line to get that other familiar").

Kara was my first real raid, so I will always love Kara even though I stopped playing WoW mid WOTLK (life, career, family, no time to play video games). Our first kill of Malchazzar (spelling?), I was a destro lock, and I was the last person standing, and the logs showed that the last damage I did on him barely killed him before I also died, then the screams filled the ventrillo, I didnt' know what happened until the raid leader told me "we did it!". We were a mediocre bunch of players on a very unprogressed server, but to us, it was an insane day.

@Epic weaker end game. T6 and sunwell fury is top dps. Prot is BIS tank for all of TBC. rotation, it is more of Priority. shield block, shield slam, then demo, sunder until 5, revenge, HS if above rage cost of shield slam. Big damage as prot. sure dude.

@Epic In TBC tanks do not do damage, they barely break 400-500 dps if you try hard. out side of pallies on aoe pulls. Where in full 70 blues a hunter will hit 1k easy. TBC you can't DW tank and have world buffs to give you 10% crit, and a ton of AP to carry your damage. Talking about tanks not doing damage shows you do not know what you are talking about.

10 man dungeons always had and have the most well balanced and fun group play where CC is needed and a must. Lots of great dungeons that are open with interesting bosses and mechanics. Always felt that 20+ design was not good by comparison. Kara and ZA both had great 10 man mechanic and I wish all raids would have been ten man.

I don't remember the huge one but the one in the desert where it also drops like a ton of different colors of one Vanilla mount, that one was simply annoying beyond belief, always end up with at least ten kids who act like jerks and make it difficult -- I agree, 10 man was the best feel, the best experience. With the right guild, 25 mans were not too bad but so difficult to schedule and pull off.

Yeah people who are surprised that T4 was cleared in a day... This is why. If you have leveling greens and blues with an epic or two from heroics, it'll take you a lot longer to make progress in Kara. Not that it's a super hard raid, but I'm sure it will take many guilds several weeks to really make good progress.

Yeah I love Asmon but it’s streamers like him making the game have a toxic community. Because once the raid gets cleared the first day there is like an unrest in guilds that they are behind. Then you have people spending hours upon hours to try and “catch up” to those who already cleared. It sets an unrealistic standard for people who aren’t streamers or who do have a job

For a start, if your mentality is being affected by the fact you're not as good as someone else, that's 100% a you problem and has absolutely nothing to do with the person you're comparing yourself to. Secondly, these raids are very easy. They can and will be cleared in the first raiding week of many people with aren't streamers and have jobs. If this isn't you, that's fine, you can take as long as you want to clear the content. You can't however, expect others to slow down to your pace or be upset at them when they don't

Every raid is easy if you done it a thousand times. Its Just like asmon said in his latest Video. If you would repeat any retail mythic raid race that took a week+ to clear with the knowledge of today and the gear they had back then. The whole raid would be cleared in 1 day easily. Oh boy Karazhan. the greatest raid ive ever had the pleasure to roflstomp through. even when my sweaty guild had hyal and bt on farm status we had kara in the weekly raid schedule. but we had a nice little twist, since its a 10 man we made 2 grps at the same time and raced each other for who is a ble to full clear it first. but the second twist was after clearing it your whole grp switched to alts and went at it aigan. winner was who finished with alts first. so much fun and shittalking, since of course both grps where in the same teamspeak channel. damn i miss those times.
