It's cool of Ludwig and xQc to pay the victims backs, and I respect it immensely, but it's not their mess to clean up. Sliker still needs to be held responsible and I bet now he's seen what they're doing and is sighing to himself in relief because he thinks 'Oh sweet, I don't need to pay them back anymore because those guys have done it for me'. I can see him getting out of this completely scott free.
@cheekybreeky37752 жыл бұрын
Most likely Sliker will never have payed them back anyway, so they probably thought they might as well pay back the people who lost it so that they get back what's lost, even if it isn't from the person who took it from them in the first place. And now at the very least Sliker can probably pay xqc and ludwgi back, but they're rich enough that it didn't hurt them as badly as it would the other people so their descision to intervene was the better outcome, the best being sliker owning up to his mistakes and paying them back but like I said, very unlikely.

you can feel bad for someone even if you don't like him that fell into addiction AND acknowledge the fact that what they did is horribly wrong and needs to have consequences by him being held accountable. Addiction is never an excuse for someones actions. A lot of people massively oversimplify the whole situation into being either fully with or against him with no inbetween, both extremes are in the wrong. Jail alone is not a solution either, it is just delaying the problem into the future since without therapy an addict would find new victims and be at it again the day he is released from jail.

He may be, he may be not. Take it from someone whos not good either. When you suffer from some mental ilness, the best way I would describe it is that its you, and then on top of you is this illness, the other "you" because it is affecting your brain, and you are trapped in yourself knowing, what you are doing is bad, but you cant help it, because the other "you" is your fucking brain, so you see the actions you are doing but you cant help it. Probably ppl who lack empathy or very high lvl of EQ, or suffer from mental ilness themselves wont see it. @@zx6rHooligan yeah he seems to have a weird double standard. I also remember him calling IcePoseidon a genius multiple times, even though IcePoseidon did EXACTLY the same shit that sliker did, sure, his method of scamming was different, but he was scamming his fans, and it was around the same amount of money. IcePoseidon didnt even try to act like he felt sorry but instead laughed on video and audio and boasted about it publicly. In asmon's eyes, he is a genius, but sliker deserves death and jail. I like asmon's humour but his takes are VERY inconsistent and seem to be based not on principle, but on how he is feeling at the time.

Banning him will not solve anything and therefor "demanding" Twitch to ban him will not prevent any future scams by him. Sliker is addicted to gambling. It's a sickness. Banning him and gambling from Twitch will result in nothing. One can't defend his actions, but an addict will always do what ever they can to feed their addiction. He is a Twitch partner, and Twitch should rather help him rather than turning against him.
@BizzMRK2 жыл бұрын
Banning him from Twitch stops giving him a platform to lure in victims and drastically reduces his range to find new ones though. The whole overexposure to gambling and betting got us to this point in the first place. Many of the viewers on twitch are underaged as well which could ultimately lead into legal issues for twitch as well.

i did this a few times, cut people out when they were becoming a problem, only to walk into their house one day and seen them hanging from a rafter. don't be so quick to dismiss people who are "problems" they are often dealing with more than you think and probably just need someone solid to stay. you don't have to give in to their requests or anything but that doesnt stop people from just being a good person or a friend to someone. people walk by homeless people every day and never stop to see if their okay because they are "problems" yea, they are also abuse victims, drug addicts, people that have lost everything they had, these people yearn for the same connection everyone else does. now that ive gotten older, i try to accept everyone and their circumstances.

Trusting a guy with money, who doesn't pay his own taxes when he could, is like marrying someone you met as an affair during their own marriage. The only excuse is that life led you to that point to learn a lesson, paying in amounts you probably didn't want to offer up.

If nobody was ever willing to help anyone, humanity d be even more shit than it is...I d hate for the lesson from this to be - never help anyone, I d rather it to be - if you scam ppl, you deserve to rot in jail. I dont evne care for the ban, get him to jail, getting him out of twitch will just make his victim pool smaller, not non-existent.
