So about that lamp post jump: There's a pretty reliable strategy where you line yourself up with a roof line and jump right where the other roof features end. He uhhhh.... didn't do that. He choose an angle that I'd never have the guts to duplicate just to shave like .2 seconds. That's not a flex. That's adding the lamp post to the speedrun.

With the things they've done in the past there is a world where they edit the tower for a button to button timed run for all the jump puzzles for achievements. This is the dev team that continually develops an entire class that cannot be used for half of the content and class quests for it just because it's fun. There are so many stupidly pointless "Why not" parts of FF14 that took real dev time to implement.

The controller actually gives an advantage for the jumping puzzles. It's much easier to do jumps of varying lengths with the analog stick. The only time I beat the tower was by using one.
