Tbh I just found asmr this year, about 6-8 months ago. I thought asmr was chewing sounds which I actually really dislike, it's kind of a pet peeve if mine lol. But I just happened across a video of sunshinejazzyasmr and it really caught my attention. I watched others of hers and realized they helped me to clear my mind which I really struggle doing, and they help me relax and fall asleep. After a few others I tried I found you, and now I mostly stick with your videos, you are my favorite!! You talk but it's relaxing. No constant thank yous, which drives me insane on the asmr videos lol. Thank you for doing what you do, you've become a therapy for me. I listen to your videos even when I'm doing housework lol. Idk I don't wanna get off my butt but If I listen you your videos I can escape myself in a way n just work without thinking. Robot mode kinda hahaha

9:07 i was first introduced to ASMR by a friend when i was in 7th or 8th grade. Whenever we had sleepovers I noticed she’d use it to fall asleep and she told me it helped her relax, gave her “tingles” and that she couldn’t fall asleep without it. When I was in 9th grade is when I started really using ASMR to relax and quiet my mind. (ASMR has never given me “tingles”) I can’t remember my first ASMRtist but Annuras ASMR was my first favorite asmrtist from when I was a 9th grader. Now Batala’s ASMR is definitely my favorite. I recently had a spinal fusion surgery (mid june) and there were some nights this was the only channel that could help me fall asleep

I was in grade 12 (I’m 21 now and I graduated in 2021) when I heard of ASMR, a social worker in my school showed me a dude cutting sand with knives, I LOOOOVED it. She said she was watching my reaction and I completely zoned in on the video, my jaw was slightly open and I was barely blinking. She said I completely forgot about the world around me. It helps a lot with ADHD and anxiety, plus it’s also perfect for when I can’t sleep. I used to loooove crunchy ASMR, so I’d look up crunchy sand cutting and that guy would pop up.
