This is wonderful. Page turning has always been my number one trigger. Ever since I was a little girl in the 90s, I remember getting the tingles every time I saw certain people turning pages. It wasn’t until 2017 that I figure out I was experiencing ASMR. I love the overlay of the page turning while you’re reading to us. Very nicely done. Thank you 🥰

No! Freaking! Way! I used to have this exact book in my bathroom growing up. I would always tale it into my bedroom as a kid in the early oughts and look at the pictures. I still remember the section about the cloned sheep. Such a hit of nostalgia here. 🥺🥺🥺

This is one of my fav’s of Amuse’s. I love history/picture magazine style books and atlases and would spend hours perusing such both at home and at dad’s schools he administrated during summers. Amuse’s voice is particularly crisp, precise, and soothing here, her hands/nails elegant and lovely too.
@monkeynova20123 жыл бұрын
I used to love books like this when I was kid. I'd get one like it every Christmas. They knew they'd get quiet evenings for a couple of months afterwards lol
@yonitznkc2 жыл бұрын
Yep, me too! 💕👍🏼 I hope Amuse includes a category for such magazine styled pictorial chronologies and for world atlases too. What were those annual historical books called? Whatever, I remember encyclopedia subscriptions (Colliers, World Book, etc.) offered annual ‘year books’ for us boomers’ parents to purchase and keep us engaged to upgrade sets years later.

It's always a good day when you post a video, A... You're such a darling. And, as expected, beautiful voice and awesome trivia subjects from this fantastic new book. I love when you read the articles from Reader's Digest and the historical newspapers from the public library. I loved listening to those sounds my mother made when she sewed during our nap times.) 😘😇

Unfortunately we owe a lot of early medical advancement to unethical science, but there's also some things from some of 20th century medicine that are kind of terrifying. Modern medicine is by no means perfect, but I'm glad we keep ongoing studies. It's probably crazy to us now that cocaine and heroin were used in otc medicine then, but I'm sure many years from now there will be things we do now that our ancestors think is crazy.
