OK I think the key here is that her skin has warm reddish/orange undertones, so she looks great with coral and redder colours to highlight that. People with cooler undertones like blue/purple-y colours can lean toward the mauve/burgundy end of the spectrum! Everyone's skin has undertones, no matter the shade, so chances are you can do this too :) If you want fun colours I recommend for orange undertones: orange, yellow, red, green, for blue/purple undertones: blue, purple, green.
