This!! I have 6 lobe piercings done with a gun, nothing bad happened luckily, but I didn't even know until a couple of months ago that you shouldn't use a gun. So scary if you really think about it

love your educational asmr! commenting just to add something: piercing needles do not actually 'remove' skin tissue, they just 'dislocate' it (for lack of a better word, english second language here). the sharp end of the needle pierces the skin and then the tissue is stretched to whatever gauge the needle is. if you look at a piercing needle after it's been used, no chunk of skin is actually in it, it remains hollow. love u! :)

@@jhoelene no. It happened accidentally. I was trying to put on an earring and it wasn't coming out from the back of my ear. I went mad and pushed it too hard 🤦🏻‍♀️ It made the earring come out through a new path. 😀

Was one of the people that learned the hard way with the piercing gun lol only have lobes pierced from when I was a kid, nothing but issues. Gave up wearing them all together eventually, haven’t had earrings in them in over 9 years and they still randomly get red and swollen and gross. Never closed up.

love this video diamond and 100% love the proper education at the beginning but its very important to remember that the needle *doesn't* remove any skin it simply makes a cleaner smoother hole with *much* less force and therefore damage to the skin as well as they are much sharper and more often then not *much* cleaner!

peircing bevel needles don’t take a chunk of skin out. they poke a hole with the first point then stretch that skin with the circle creating a nice piercing hole that will heal!!!

I got my lobe piercings at the mall with a gun, and I had a similar experience as you. It was extremely painful, cleaned it with the piercing solution they gave me for a year straight and it still didn’t heal, and now whenever I put in earrings, I take them out and end up having to squeeze out pus the next day because my earlobe has swelled up.

I got mine done at Claire’s with a gun s when I was 11. I actually enjoyed the pain. I’m wasn’t a lot tho. Just a tad pinch. I enjoyed the sensation and was sad when it was over 😂

i got a gun professionally done for my firsts and seconds by a pharmacist and I had no problems, but they had a super sharp needle and it was very sterile, so I think it just depends. Love this! xoxo

Oh my gosh I want to share my story time real quick so I recently got my ears pierced a second time about 1 week ago and the lady was telling me the after care information and I was busy day dreaming about what I’m having for dinner etc 🤣. Anyways, she asked me if I got all the information and I’m like yup even though I lied 🤥 so fast forwarding to today I discovered this piercing video at 2:00 am I was so ready to sleep but my ear was bothering me so my big brain thought “ maybe I should take my piercings out so I can clean them” SO I get up and attempt to take them out no hesitation and oh my god it hurt so bad. I start cleaning my ears with solution and then I try to put them back in and for some reason they wouldn’t go back in my ear so I started to freak the heck out apparently you aren’t supposed to take them out during the healing process so I sat on the floor for 1 hour sticking a needle through my ear. Eventually i got both piercings in BUT WOW worst pain ever lol

Wooww okayy yeah you definetly shouldn't take them out untill they are completely healed, haha. Ouchhh the pain thooo😫 To clean your new piercings, you can grab a bit of dead sea salt, and put it in hot water. Let it cool down, grab a q-tip, and dip it in there. Them use the q-tip to put the solution on your piercing. Or use a disinfecting soap to clean your piercings (I use unicura soap, it works perfect!) Hopefully these tips will help you!😁😊

Hey, I love you videos and often listen to them on the weekends to fall asleep. I just had a question to ask you. Was what you said about the pricing gun vs the needle true, because I have double lobe peircings on each ear and they used a gun. I have had them for years and still do, and I didn't really have any problems. I got them peirced at Claire's and they didn't ask if I wanted to use a needle. Hi there! I am not Diamond, but I would just like to come in and confirm that it is indeed true! Claire's didn't ask you if you wanted a needle because they do not provide a needle option. They only do guns. Piercing needles are hollow and remove the chunk of skin that is in the way, providing a hole for the jewelry to safely slip in. The gun however, uses the blunt end of the earring as the "needle", but that isn't hollow. Since it isn't hollow, it is forcing its way into your ear, where it doesn't have space. That is why most people have scars or trauma on their lobes if they got a gun piercing. Not everyone has complications with gun piercings, but I've found that most do. This is usually because you have created an open wound that is now constantly rubbing against something, so it usually never fully heals, which leads to risk of infection. I myself got 3 infections in the same piercing because it was done with a gun. I was even using peroxide and alcohol to clean it, and it still got re-infected. Now, sometimes, the ear rejects the piercing and gets even more infected, to where the best option is to just take the earring out and let it close up. This runs the risk of bumps or keloids. (Not sure if that's what it's called) Hope that helps!

Sooo true about the guns! 12 y/o me just haddd to have my cartilage pierced at Claire’s and I got the biggest bump on the back of my ear! Took it out to doctor it up and it grew up overnight. I also got my lobes pierced at Walmart when I was like 7 and to this day, when I don’t wear earrings for a while, it’s like I have to repoke my own holes because it seems like they grow up very easily.

Dude, I have SUCH a bad history with piercings -- it ain't even funny. 😂I wanted an auricle piercing so badly and went to a parlor that had 4-star reviews. I mentioned really wanting a hoop auricle piercing and they gave me one -- and didn't tell me you NEVER get a hoop piercing for a new hole. I had a keloid until I took out the hoop and realized none of their advice was working. Then I got a new auricle piercing on my other ear and all was well -- until I accidentally ripped it out a few months later. Now I have two more piercings on the opposite ear again -- an auricle and a conch -- and so far everything is going a lot better now that I learned where I went wrong before. This guy used needles for them and BOY did they hurt. But, the piercings are there, look healthy and I'm happy. ☺
