The feathered headbands and hats that are worm for the Melbourne horse races are also worn where I live (Kentucky, USA) for the Kentucky Derby horse races! The headbands are typically called "fascinators" here, but might be called something else in Australia. The Derby is a huge deal here, and I enjoy seeing all the outfits every year!
