@@fischl2226 that's not a sauce. If it were plain melted cheese, it wouldn't coat the food the way it does. It would simply string.

In addition to what the comment above me said, cheese in the microwave tends to harden around the edges after melting because it’s too hot, and the heat can’t be spread evenly, so if anything, it would be done preferably in a double boiler. Cheese by itself is too thick, so while I don’t have any amazing recipe I usually use milk / cream to thin it out so it can be dipped into.
