I can only imagine the degree of self confidence it takes to have a camera that close to your face.
@liquidsnake68799 ай бұрын
I think you build that, get a mirror and get used to looking at yourself, i think a lot of people don't do that and find their own face odd, just get used to it, get comfortable with it. Then take care of yourself, improve your appearance, make sure it's as good as it can be and that you're overall proud of yourself. Things that make you ashamed of yourself should be avoided, overeating, watching porn (that are some that would apply to me for example) those things have a lasting impact on your mental health due to making you feel ashamed of yourself and so should be avoided, it's very difficult but when it results in you growing to respect the person in front of the mirror i think it can be life-changing for many people.
@adamperry57949 ай бұрын
a big issue i have noticed with camera angles and photos is it's very easy to think it will change people's whole perspective of you, subconsciously or not. for example sometimes i will hesitate to send a goofy snap to my friends because i have a slight feeling that this is the way they will see me. everyone knows your face and already has their image of you set in stone, so some ugly angles and things similar to this won't have any impact whatsoever on how they see you. i think getting past this feeling is a major step in feeling confident in your face, the lack of 'ahh they're gonna think this about meee', they're not, and you look great
@syc65988 ай бұрын
@@adamperry5794not if you take focale into account. It will deform your face 😁 Put camera far away, zoom/telefocus, it will look much better.
@adamperry57948 ай бұрын
@@syc6598 yup but for selfies and casual fun things, not many people will be willing to do that. for online posts, sure, but for snaps to friends and contributing to conversations, it's not worth the time. getting comfortable in your own skin no matter how the camera makes you look will not only make selfies and close up images/videos much easier, but also improve your mental health, self confidence, and self worth

this is such a picky thing - but just as a tip, enabling manual focus would help keep the audio clean! when you move back from/towards the camera, it refocuses and the lens makes a noise as the moving parts rotate. absolutely delightful video regardless, this wasn't mean as criticism, more just a tip!
@delthas_9 ай бұрын
yes!! although im not sure how the mic picked up the camera refocus sounds
@koiasmr9 ай бұрын
would assume its due to the camera and the microphone being set up on the same surface, which allows the sound to travel through solid material rather than the air. (and gain is probably high with no noise gate or anything, as to not ruin the quality of the video)@@delthas_

This thumbnail is wayyy too good T-T, I've already watched but youtube keeps putting it on my homepage and it's soo hard to scroll past, the first time i clicked was because of how perfect everything was, it genuinely looked movie quality, i didn't read the title so wasn't expecting asmr the first time from a thumbnail this high quality. Something about it makes it so hard to scroll up or down to remove it from my screen, i just want to click it lol or sit and look, hold eye contact. Your channel image goes perfectly with it too, it gives me REALLY strong "You look lonely, i can fix that" vibes, i love it.. though it's quite deep, it really does feel comforting in the same way. All from a thumbnail. & The style you present yourself in matches this all so perfectly i love this style of look with the hair, feels kinda like old styles i'd see but rebirthed, refreshed & better than ever, its great, I hope this video stays on my homepage forever hehe :3.. im not great with wording, but i genuinely mean well if any of this comes across badly, i didn't mean it to, explaining the quality of something isn't one of my strong suits :P but i haddd to say something, i wanted to the first time i saw it but i usually stay away from commenting, though i do read them from time to time. I think the viewcount really says a lot about the thumbnail, i'd like to think a huge portion of those viewers felt a similar way to me before clicking, it's truely captivating.

Here's a mundane comment about something that doesn't matter: the "most replayed" thingy. On this vid, it's a steady increase over the course of the video. Is... that normal? I can only assume it's to be expected, and I can't at all work out why. In all honesty I've never properly known how the feature works, I just know that spikes are reliably highlights of the video, and likely because people keep... clicking them or otherwise skipping to them? Idk if it counts any time somebody's at a particular timestamp for any reason or just clicks and replays, but nothing I can think of explains the steady climb, as opposed to a drop-off, other than... people skipping earlier portions of the video, and the earlier in the video, the more likely somebody will skip to later? Also, I know this is probably a minimal effect, but this system does tend to self reinforce - spikes get spikier because people click on them more, etc. Alright, that's enough yapping about the "most replayed" system - told you it would be mundane. Edit: There's more to say. Another thing I find odd is what on earth makes KZbin decide which videos should even use this feature. My guess would be that they started the feature, and from that point onwards, it keeps track of clicks to different parts of the video, among other things, and whenever a video accumulates enough clicks for the feature to show anything meaningful, it'll show up. Which is why this vid somehow uses the feature, but some much older videos don't. Length also might be a correlated factor, as longer videos correlate with people skipping to various parts, accumulating clicks, and I've personally found that longer videos usually have the thing showing. God, this seriously is mundane. But I've not seen anybody else bother talking about it, so I'll keep at it. In these comments for some reason...
@lockekappa5005 ай бұрын
Yeah I don't get how a video has less views on the beginning than the end. Surely more people start a video than finish it. Although I think everyones brain is all ADHD from tiktok and shorts they simply zoom through the video and turn a 20m video into a 2min video
@fahrenheit21015 ай бұрын
@@lockekappa500 Damn, didn't expect anyone to actually read the comment, lol. Yeah, I do often see a downward trend, that's why this one probably stood out to me. But I suppose if everybody's skipping ahead, and notably *not finding anything to stop at* , then you get a steady climb without spikes... maybe.
