I noticed that when I was in Japan(I know she is Chinese but it reminded me of this-) and when the exchange students stayed with us... Everything they did they did quickly, yet so GENTLY. They were never late or anything, but they moved with such careful precision. None of their things were worn out or frayed or beat up, I just am striving constantly to learn the habit of that gentle movement. I think it's sort of based in a respect for the things around you, but definitely learned early early on in life.

Swhedha Yup East Asian countries mostly had long sleeves for a traditional imperial/noble clothes so most of them has a culture of holding their sleeves back when stretching their arms out
