You can basically eat anything with braces.I mean I do. And gum... but here’s the thing, if you have braces and you can’t live without gum, orthodontists prefer you to chew gum actually. Here’s the catch: sugar free gum. The SUGAR FREE gum helps the food come out from your braces. If you chew the gum with sugar, it’ll stick inside and get stuck somewhere in your braces/brackets. The back bracket is always a pain with gum if you use stuff the sugary kind. The last thing I wanna mention is the sugary gum also gets sugar in your teeth are hard to reach spaces. If you get a single cavity, our braces come off, and trust me, we all dont want that to happen. And the pain of getting them on, for me I hope it’s a one time thing.

no name don’t be scared. it will kinda hurt when you first get them on only because ur teeth aren’t used to them. every time you get an adjustment ur teeth might be a little sore. if you have a wire that pokes out it’ll tear up ur mouth. i highly recommend braces wax. you can get it at any pharmacy. trust me, once you get used to them they’ll be a pain but they don’t hurt. so for the soreness i’d say a 5. but again, there’s nothing to be afraid of.

When I first got braces I didn't like the result. I eventually said found out I didn't have enough space in my mouth and my orthodontist was basically forcing my teeth to fit. I had them for many many many years and it looked bad in the end. Eventually they took out a few teeth, put braces back on and it only took about 2 years. They could've saved me so much bullying, embarrassment, and discomfort if they had just gone with the latter. It was more painful but it worked and I felt like I could actually eat and not feel so self conscious about smiling.

I’m 13 too and I just got my braces off they aren’t as bad as they seem! (I ate all the stuff they said not to😂 it doesn’t really matter if you do or not!)

nowadays almost everyone gets braces at some point in their life, it's really nothing to be scared of! sometimes it's a little uncomfortable when it's tightened but after all 10 times worth it to have nice teeth for the rest of your life! :)
