Honestly this is the best ending for this. August is manipulative to the end, Ortas is crazy in every form and Fendal is the tragic hero after all. I love his growth through it all. Oh no, the title alone is breaking my heart! I think this may be the first real ending we've had in Sarrus and I'm not sure I'm ready for it. But here we go. Edit: oh my poor Fendal. I love him so much. How he's grown since we first met! This was beautiful. I hope they made it past the border of the town. That ending is so on brand for this channel DAMN. It’s Pharos all over again, I’m tearing up. Such good contrast of a character growth vs the other breaking down. Cheers to this story coming to a close, I know it was a lot were asking for it. Now everything in Sarrus is going to be just fine…yep…yeah even I know that’s not true.

It does feel a bit that way. It's like getting to love a story but not being able to fully enjoy it cuz you can't have shit lmao The writing and work itself is great but the constant heartbreak keeps me from emotionally connecting to the characters anymore

is it bad that i kind of want us to wake up trapped with the necromancer, i’m biased because i adore his character, but it would be so interesting for the listener to be trapped with August after he literally killed them but also loves them and clearly they had feelings for him even though he hurt them a lot so the dialogue and dynamic between them would be SO interesting if there is another part in this series

Man, as bittersweet as this was, it was a great way to wrap up this storyline. The way things happened with August made complete sense, especially after how he left us last time we saw him. It was great to see how Fendal's time with this mage shaped his character as well. Also, despite what was happening to said mage, there is still a bit of hope that Fendal, or anyone else for that matter, might see them again in another life. Phenomenal job as usual, Hollow. Your storytelling and acting skills know no bounds.

Commenting again because I’m obsessed. This is likely just denial, but there’s a part of me that doesn’t believe it’s the end. The description says it’s the end, and I can accept it as an ending, but something about where it leaves off makes me feel like there could be something more, one more beat. Spoilers maybe but I need some help cause idk what is happening 🥲 So August is Ortas, right? And Ortas is in love with the listener trapped in the pocket dimension, which is why he tried to like rip apart reality so he can be reunited with his love who didn‘t want to live for all eternity with him. But like he finds out that his love doesn‘t love him anymore (?) and they have tried to stop him from reaching his goals again and again? So then he turns to this listener/ mage/ outsider and he (August) tries to get Outsider to sympathize with him and remind them what he was like and how much they liked each other, so he can trick them and achieve his goals (?) But they keep trying to convince August to not got through with it and he say that since he came from unrequited (?) love he deserves to be loved and therefor he wants to trap the Outsider for all eternity And like why? Do they love him? Does he love them? Are they a reincarnation of the pocket dimension love? (I don‘t think so idk) Or is he simply like sacrificing them so he can get to his love quicker because if he succeeds he can distract Fendal as well? But then they wouldn‘t be trapped with him for all eternity since the sacrificed souls don‘t end up living with the living and already dead
