Ok, time for plan B! Dump the crown and run away! I know that Romeo and Juliet trope when I hear it. I seriously hope that it doesn’t end the same way! His highness already has to worry about his human lover dying first because of the smaller lifespan she has. Normally, I don’t like killing but… I think Devon would have been sentenced to something similar if he was still alive anyway, and hopefully his dad wouldn’t get his way. Yep. Romeo killing Tybalt after he killed Mercutio and being banished.

"I've been banished" So have I, lemme go pack :> OKIE HEAR ME OUT, 'sealing someone's fate' is inexcusable even if it was to avenge an endangered species, banishing him was honestly the tamest thing they could have done in this situation, they could have done so much worse as he mentioned

The coldness and calm with which I would pack my shit and leave with him would frighten him. The note under my crown on the bed would say, "You've banished him, so you've banished me. This is your own doing. Do not seek me, for I will not be found."

I have the feeling that *if* we stay in our kingdom (which I honestly wouldn't. Instead I would go with him) we will give our parents the cold shoulder. Everything they say will be answered cold heartedly (I defitnely would do that). And now here is a little story in the listeners perspective: Sunrise came way too fast for my liking. I hugged him one last time before he had to leave. I wished to go with him but he made me promise to stay here. Stirling put his snout against me trying to comfort me as best as he could. I stood on the balcony my love and I had shared many moments together. Drowned in thoughts, I suddenly hear the trumpets letting everyone know that the king and queen have returned bringing me back to the here and now. I walk to another balcony where I could see my parents arriving and I felt the anger rushing back to me. My father then spotts me but I give him one angry glance before disapearing in the castle, my heart filled with nothing but pure rage... That was my little story. Hope you like it. (I apologize if my english is not perfect.I'm from germany)

It had always been Edwin’s and the Princess’s favorite time of day, showing how beautiful the night and day can be together. But, with this sunrise, there starts an end. ‘You don’t have to go’ said the princess. ‘I can find a way for you to stay! Please…’ ‘My star.. you and I both know that this can’t be helped’ Edwin said, defeated She couldn’t bare to look at him, to look at the man she loves being cast out and ignored. He doesn’t deserve this! Edwin was the kindest most helpful being in the 4 realms, human or not! Her eyes fought back tears, but their efforts were in vein, because the tears made their way out. ‘My star.. please don’t cry for me.’ ‘How can I not?!’ she exclaimed ‘Princess, please look into my eyes’ She begrudgingly did so, seeing his tears run down his face broke her. His dark, violet eyes contrasted the warmth of her auburn ones. Equal and opposite in every perfect way, as if they were crafted for each other. The looked into each other’s eyes. One more time. One last time. ‘You light up the night sky’ he said She chuckled. ‘And you make my day brighter’ ‘I must go princess, just know this: I promise you, I will find my way back, if it’s the last thing I do’ And with that, he jumped of the balcony, got on Cloud, and rode off into the sunrise. The princess sobbed as she saw her love leave her, but she quickly wiped her face. There was no time to dwell over what she can’t change, but she will do anything in her power to make sure Edwin comes back to his home, his family, to her. She the goddamn sun princes! And she will use whatever worth that title has to bring her love back ‘I have so much work to do’

While I agree that leaving with him would a great idea, another option would be to stay, ascend the throne without taking a husband, and when we're in charge, go to his parents to end the banishment or bring him into our kingdom again and marry him.
