I'm watching again to help me fall back asleep, and I didn't catch this the first time because I passed out lol, but I didn't know you guys started your school year in January! Here in the USA, our school years start end of August/early September! It makes sense though, that way when y'all are done with the school year, it will be summertime in that part of the hemisphere!
