Gotta say, as someone who enjoys eggnog (grew up having it), your description is absolutely spot on! It's insanely sweet and unbelievably thick. Adult recipes include alcohol, so that helps cut the cloying aspect . I think kids like it (plain) more; we all love sweets when we're young. If someone gifted a loaf of this to me, I'd be very excited to try it!

Thank you for the video! I am going to make this recipe. This bread would probably be great for french toast. Just a tip to thin out the eggnog(if you don't like alcohol). If you like alcohol, you can add some rum but if you don't like alcohol, you can add Sprite to thin it out. That is what my mom did when we were kids and I still do it to this day. I like eggnog but it is too thick for me 🙂

Coquito is the way to go! I like eggnog, but I LOVE Coquito. It's the Puerto Rican version. Mostly coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, and white rum. Mmmmm! Edited to add (those aren't all the ingredients, just shortened for time lol)

I used to hate eggnog but a few years ago someone told me to mix it in with sprite or 7 up. Sounds SO weird but it’s actually delicious. Cuts down the thickness and sweetness and makes it taste almost like an ice cream float of some sort. A wild concept but don’t knock it till you try it 😂

I LOVE eggnog, but I must admit that not all eggnog is created equal. I'm very particular about the brands I like. Someone mentioned cutting with rum, which is very popular. You can also cut it with Sprite or Ginger Ale. I cut mine with Ginger Ale, and it's so good.

I love eggnog. You have to shake the bottle before consuming. Those specks are the spices that settled at the bottom. Sometimes the cream portion can float to the top while the egg and spices tend to settle. Depends on the brand. Hope that helps 😃

That’s such a great way to use up that eggnog! In our family we usually have coquito (coconut flavored eggnog) and I cannot drink it. It’s too thick and heavy for me but this would be great to add into a baked good instead of throwing it out!

I LOVE eggnog, but I will tell you I would never drink eggnog from Walmart- if you have a local place that makes it, get it from there instead! I get Braums (Midwest chain) brand, or Wawa when I lived on the east coast. It is also improved with the addition of Rum Chata and Fireball. Happy Thanksgiving Eve, dear Mary! I’ll pick up a jug of eggnog and toss one back in your honor today. 🥰
