I think positivity is something that is taught as a child rather than genetic but I’m no expert of course. I would guess it’s something that sadly is very hard to change, though not impossible. The fact that you are thinking about it and how you are placed into it says a lot about your willingness to try to become more positive and less “nihilistic”. Just keep at it, I hope you find what you’re looking for. (p.s. no need to worry about your hair, it looks great! 😉)

I love these videos. The best parts are when you are speaking and hypothesizing. Nevertheless, having said that, I laughed for awhile at 25:30 at the idea that the guy is very happy with the idea that he has a jacket without any bullet holes. Too funny!

You're describing emotional instability (neuroticism). Its a personality trait that is genetic (all the traits are). Google 'the big five personality traits' and take one of the tests to get an idea of where your personality is on the spectrum. There's a free podcast called 'beat your genes' that I think would help you out tremendously. Hope this helps!

yes I've been reading about Big 5 and want to do a good test ... I will check out the podcast - thanks!

Learn this name - Monica Cioch. She’s a fragrance enthusiast who does a lot of Top 10 countdowns of the market’s latest and greatest, and has nothing to do with ASMR, as far as I know. Her voice is amazing - a perfect “unintentional asmr” kind of channel

37:00 I too was not endowed with optimism, or many wisdoms of life. My mother catastrophises everything to the point where the worst is almost conjured because the energies (subconscious focus) bring about what so much effort was used to avoid catastrophy in the first place. I had to teach myself empathy, how to love, active kindness and learn, many times, the hard way. I've more than surpassed the kind of person I _don't_ want to be, and that was just as important to learn as a vision of who I want to be.

find calm Not really space-games but I also love indie games, I really enjoyed playing “Firewatch” and “Night in the Woods” (I tried to answer in german but I realised midway that I pretty much don’t remember anything)

Also this is a Scottish accent in the first clip haha, I live in Scotland and must say it’s not an accent you hear in ASMR videos very often.

Apologies as I’m just dropping some stream of consciousness comments as I’m watching... I think when you get to the point when you finally accept the complete absurd pointlessness of life, it makes those moments of passing human connection, kindness and joy all the more special and to be treasured! You might like to look at the comic artist Niall Breen who makes great little strips about coming to terms with thoughts like these, your place in the world in relation to others, how to find small pieces of meaning and joy in the day to day. I find that way of thinking helps me a lot.

Loved the video but I honestly just have to point out that we are already able to go to mars whilst the sun has about 5-7 billion years left. The mars question is about efficiency, reason and, well, getting back.

Hi love, I just carried on watching this as I had to take a call earlier. Anxiety and over thinking is LEARNT behaviour. You can break this cycle. Everything you said, I completely understand. I can help you! I followed you on Instagram earlier, my username is @amzy2102 , so if you want , I can help break that cycle. I study psychology because I had the exact same childhood (I’m British) it’s like, Your grandparents, passed on those behaviours to your parents and they tried to put that onto you.... but because you’re able to think “this is not right”, you’ve broken that cycle and not even realised! That’s what causes the anxiety. Earlier on, I saw this car that advertised a british business and next to it (the car was dirty) someone had written “Alles Zusammen” which I think means “all together?” And I had a feeling I’d come across a German person today and I had no idea why. And here you are! But I’m here for you, I hope this helps! Many hugs xox
