I love birds, and whenever I’ve visited South Africa, I’ve always been fascinated by the birdlife there. They all seem very chilled around humans. Once I was leading a training session in a converted wine shed at a hotel complex in Stellenbosch (as you do), and a crane wandered into the room. That certainly doesn’t happen in Hertfordshire.

Really like hearing about the unique character of South Africa. You have some diverse birdlife and a really beautiful country. Your ASMR style is a great way to discover your country. Seems to be some similarities with Australian birds - the Kingfisher is the same as our Kookaburra - not sure whether you get its laugh over there.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm not familiar with the Kookaburra, but maybe it's just a different name :)

@@RosyASMR It is definitely not just a different name. The Kookaburra is a Kingfisher and if the South African Kingfisher had its laugh you would most definitely know what it sounds like. They pierce the early morning dawn with it wherever you live close to them. Periodically through the day as well. I don't think there is a laughing bird anything like it across the planet. Have a listen. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqLHg4SunNmNqqs

That was such a lovely video, really liked the page turning and tapping sounds! And I love how colourful the birds are. Here (in our garden), except for cardinals and goldfinches, they're all brown or black. So dull 😂 Thanks for the video and have a great week!
